The hotel theme was great, it felt like we were still in the park! The rooms were really clean but were quite basic. It was fine for our singular night but wouldn't be keen on staying for a lengthy visit, personally.

The food was okay and I quite liked my bedroom and the balcony. The balcony was very clean and the room itself was very clean except both bathrooms. I liked the staff some of whom were able to give me assistance with wide variety of different things like where to shop and get my manicure done. The staff were really smiley and positive.

The hotel is close to the beach, there is a bus stop right across the road,a supermarket is located very nearby. There were three complementary drinks on arrival. We arrived around 2 hours before the check- in time, but our room was ready and we could settle earlier.During the first couple of days there were not too many guests and the dining was just perfect: quiet family style dinners at a glass of wine, but later so many teenagers from all over arrived which definitely deteriorated the stay. They were extremely noisy and nasty. The quality of food became much worse: often the fruits were spoiled or very badly washed. So ,watch out before eating them.Once even the boiled eggs appeared to be quite raw. Some more attention should definitely be paid to that aspect of the stay

FAQs about hotels in Salou
On average, 3-star hotels in Salou cost £70 per night, and 4-star hotels in Salou are £92 per night. If you're looking for something really special, a 5-star hotel in Salou can on average be found for £284 per night (based on Booking.com prices).
Like all Costa Dorada resorts, Salou has a fantastic beach and fun watersports. But it’s the wide, palm-lined promenade that really makes it stand out. Boutiques and exclusive restaurants line its western end, while in the east the bay curves to a point where a sculpture leans out to sea. Head there for lovely views of the sandy beach and distant mountains.
Further round the coast towards Cap Salou the beach becomes rocky coves, whilst inland is PortAventura, Spain’s most visited theme park. This huge complex includes rides and rollercoasters in themed zones, and a waterpark with slides, flumes and pools galore. Also here is Lumine, a golf club boasting 2 courses designed by Greg Norman.
Next door is Port Halley shopping centre which also has a 3D cinema and bowling alley. The best shopping in Salou though is in the old town, where designer shops stay open until late.
Other Salou attractions include the dancing Font Illuminosa fountains, Bosc Aventura’s high ropes, and Aquopolis - a great waterpark for younger children. Although the town has plenty of arcades, clubs and bars, peace and quiet can be found.
Reus Airport is the nearest and it’s around 20 minutes’ drive from there to the apartments, B&Bs and hotels in Salou bookable on Booking.com.

Salou is a lovely place, lots to do but like most tourist places the shops sell pretty much the same thing , it's a good idea to check them all out though as they all offer different prices for similar items.
We found that at night time there was lots of groups of young people around which for two women it was a little off putting, That's just our personal opinion.

Quiet area good for eating and relaxing.
Quiet area good for eating and relaxing. Panders to tourists a bit, so try to eat in more local restaurants if you want better value and tastier food. I would try to avoid eating anywhere along the beach as a lot of them are within the same chain/group which serve a practically identical menu (restaurants like bamboo, boca boca, etc) and their prices are quite expensive for what you get (food is average and drinks watered down). A few days here is plenty to relax, but any more might leave you bored. There were plenty of little supermarkets for essentials, and I would recommend grabbing a light breakfast at any of the michaelangelo locations! It's super cheap and yummy.
The best place we ate for dinner was hands down restaurant tahiti so definitely check that out for great paella.
Beware that there is a monopoly situation on taxis (uber is banned) so taxis are quite pricey (€32 for 15/20 minute ride)

The apartment is well situated in a great little beach town of Salou. Just a few minutes walk to the beach, it offered all the amenities of home. Even a washing machine.
Unfortunately the train service in Salou has been suspended since we last visited but they offer many options of bus service to get to neighbouring Reus or Tarragona and even offer direct bus rides to Barcelona's airport.

Everything about Salou is great.
Everything about Salou is great. Over the last 25 years been 7 ot 8 times. I can't fault anything about it. Good beaches, great hotels and very family orientated. It's such a pleasant place. The airport is close and then there is Port Aventura world which is without doubt the best theme park in Europe. Then there is lovely places adjacent to it in Cambrills, Taragona and La Pineda.
The night life is also very good. No I can't fault this place and hope to return soon..
Almost everything. It's our second time visiting these apartments, and we'd definitely come back again.
We didn't eat in the hotel, so we've no idea what that's like, but the bartender makes a lovely Mojito.
We like our room, the view is great and the lovely maids do a great job of the rooms. All of the staff are lovely actually.
Great location, and for the price it was perfect for us. Easy walk to both of the closest beaches, Cap Salou and the main strip.
We really like this place and would definitely come back.
Not much to be honest. How this hotel has a four star rating I don’t know. Never had threadbare, hokey towels in a 4 star hotel ever. Room was pretty much okay, but needed some TLC. The staff apart from one weren’t helpful at all, and the daily room clean was featherlight, almost non-existent. In comparison: we arrived in a four star hotel in Valencia today. Incredibly helpful staff, room is spotless and after just a few hours we’re extending our stay. Standards need to be maintained, not rested upon.
The hotel is very close to the beach, not the central one, but I liked this one even better. There are long and pretty steep stairs though. It was ok for me, kept in form )
The centre of the city is not far.
The meals are really great.
The house keeping works very good. The room was cleaned every day, the towels were changed every day.
The view from our 6th floor was splendid.
We asked for a kettle and it was given for free.
The hotel really deserves 4 stars.
The apartment was spacious and comfortable. We loved the location, right on the sea, in a quiet picturesque neighbourhood with beautiful cove’s and beach to explore nearby. Easy access to Salou and La Pineda along the Camino de Ronda, and a short walk from Cap Salou with it’s bars and restaurants. Also a short walk to local bus stops, which we availed of, in particular to visit Tarragona, a place not to be missed if you are in the area.
We arrived into Salou at around 2.30 from Barcelona. The Bus Plana bus dropped us right outside the hotel door, this bus also went through the Barcelona airport, making it so easy to access from both Barcelona and the airport. Even though checkin was not til 5pm our room was ready when we arrived which was great. We had the attic apartment and the terrace and views were brilliant. Everything you need in the kitchen.
The sea view rooms are 100% worth the upgrade charge - in an evening it’s beautiful.
The rooms are always spotlessly clean and the housekeepers come in every day to do a quick tidy.
The kitchen facilities are great.
The location is great for going into Salou or La Pineda, and there is a bus stop a minute walk from the hotel.
I’ve stayed at this hotel a number of times and can’t wait to go back.
This is a beautiful hotel, in the center and close to the beach with a very nice pool; friendly reception, very nice room, and rich breakfast buffer; Salads missing! The hotel is in the very beautiful beach area, unfortunately the sea was dirty, maybe after heavy rainstorms, it is right in the restaurant and pubs area and 2 minutes from Salou bus station
Lots of facilities were available to guests. As we stayed there longer we kept discovering new things, a table tennis table, a 4th swimming pool for children, evening entertainment, etc. The hotel is only a 5 minute walk from Platja dels Capellans, which was by far the nicest beach we visited in Salou. We also really enjoyed the adult only salt water pool.
Very nice hotel in the centrum od the city. Nice & polite staff. Amazing buffet breakfast & dinner. Has an own parking ( for extra charges). Beautiful 2 pools, roof terrace with bar & pool is wonderful touch. Very good price ( we been there after the season ).
The property had all the amenities you would want for a family location. My kids had so many options right at their fingertips and the food near the hotel was delicious. Very nice, safe place to stay.
The hotel location was perfect and very close to the beach and so many nice facilities like the pool and entertainments every night at the hall , the breakfast was so many verities
