Close to the beach. Had a great big bath and a line you could pull across to dry your washing. Super helpful receptionist who made great suggestions for walks and restaurants.
This hotel lies on the seafront in the charming town of El Port de la Selva, on the Costa Brava. It offers free WiFi and there is a spa with a hot tub for an extra charge.

Excellent location, and very nicely renovated. It is bigger than it looks on the photos. The airco is a blessing in a summer destination like el Port de la Selva.
The hosts are super nice and helpful, so everything went very smooth.

Lovely location on the sea with good restaurants and very friendly restaurant staff. All you need is therr incl a Spar and pharmacy. Yoga centre was operating too which would have enjoyed going too. Lots of walks along the miles of coast on good flat paths- beautiful. Very easy to get by car to St Pere Monastry and not long to Cadaques and the Cap de Creus park. Port Lligat and its beach bar plus Dali house were great too and very easy to reach by car.

Port de la Selva is a very quiet and peaceful place.
Port de la Selva is a very quiet and peaceful place. It is as you imagine most of the Spanish coast would have been like many years ago.
If you are into walking it is the place for you, but if it is bright lights, discos etc. it is probably not for you.
Safe lifeguarded swimming in the sea.

A very pleasant four-day stay and would recommend Hotel Porto Cristo to anyone for a relaxing stay in El Port de la Selva. The front-desk staff were friendly and efficient. Our room was outstanding with its stylish decor, high ceiling and French windows. We loved the jacuzzi bath and the comfortable, adjustable bed. The breakfast was good, with plenty of choice – from hot dishes to cold cuts and pastries. The weather was hot - up to 34°C - during our stay but the central airconditioning kept us cool, for which we were grateful.
It was in a quiet area near the main town Port de la Selva, 2 minutes walk from the sea and a great coastal walk. I had very good communication with the host from the start. The house was clean and the beds very comfortable. There is a terrace where you can sit out and have your aperitivo. The bathroom was clean and the shower very good.
From here, we visited the wonderful Cap de Creus for lunch (no cars on weekends, so try & book for a weekday) and Cadaques which is old and unspoiled. A lovely 2 days…felt like a week !
Stayed at this hostel for one night. It is really nice, everything you need for a comfortable stay in Port de la Selva. The beds were comfortable, the balcony is very nice, the staff were extremely helpful and nice. We came really early in the morning and left late in the afternoon the next day, so they took care of our bags while we explored and enjoyed the town. I highly recommend this hostel.
The location of the apartment is great, in the middle of Port de la Selva, not too high up the hill so the restaurants by the harbour are easily accessible via one set of stairs. It is nicely decorated and cosy, perfect for a stay over the weekend. Even though we didn't use it a lot, the terrace is very nice with views of the port.
The location was superb. We ate most nights on the huge balcony soaking up the panoramic views which were simply stunning. El Port de la Selva is less crowded than other coastal towns, the people are warm and friendly and the endless street and beach front sculptures left a lasting impression. A truly beautiful place!
The hotel was very close to public parking which made getting our stuff to the hotel, which is in a narrow side street, was easy. Although breakfast was across the road, the breakfast exceeded all expectations. All in all I can happily recommend the Hotel Agora for a short break.
- Very convenient for those on cars: Free public parking 700m away or private paid hotel parking for 15€ per day
- Location: Sand beach right away, pebble beach in 10 mins walk. Supermarket is in the next building.
- Comfy beds, a/c runs well, bathroom was clean and convenient
Clean and renovated hotel. Rooms are spacious, clean and looking very nice. Bed is comfortable.
We had a room with a hot tub, it was big.
The hotel is very close to the beach, location is perfect. We could use street parking as there were no meters this time of the year.
The room, bed, bathroom and balcony were all spacious. We had a great view from the room, over the balcony to the sea. The staff was kind and the restaurant was delicious! Being off season, the town itself was very peaceful and quiet.
Excellent location, and very nicely renovated. It is bigger than it looks on the photos. The airco is a blessing in a summer destination like el Port de la Selva.
The hosts are super nice and helpful, so everything went very smooth.
Very nice and spacious house at a good location with a beautiful view over El Port de la Selva! The pool was enjoyable too. Alex had many tips on what to do and see in the area (and where to eat, of course). Definitely an 8.5!
Location superb, but big default no parking for the hotel . 10 minutes walk to public car park? Nit good for overnight parking . so much was closed for the season despite there were lots of tourist around .
It was located right in the heart of El Port de la Selva and a 30 min drive from Cadaques and Cap de Creus. The apartment is as well appointed and was exceptionally clean. We would stay here again for sure!
the location and the hotel host. they have a restaurant that I did not tried but seems to be a good alternative is you don’t want to go somewhere else.
