If you find yourself in the Salamanca or Zamora areas, you should stay here. It is like an oasis. Good location-small town. Definitely rural. The owner/manager was very gracious. The food is excellent-restuarant attached. The rooms are very adequate. The setting is the strongest asset. Be sure to catch the sunset from a nearby "pico" Easy walk from the hotel. Very impressive what the owner has done. There is no place like this for miles around.

The location was very central with easy access to a lovely gazebo overlooking the Roman bridges over the river. We went to do stargazing and since it was a rural town near the gazebo was a very nice area to stargaze being not overwhelmed by city lighting. The whole town is very quiet and peaceful.

A really nice guest house (like staying in an old English pub), with cosy bedrooms and run by extremely nice people. The restaurant and service could not be faulted and the location was at the top of the hill in the medieval town of Ledesma.

I booked the hotel with trepidation at short notice and the wife was even more so. We could not have been more wrong. The room was spotless and well fitted. The evening meal was one of the best that I have had for a long time and so was the wine which was free. The staff were very good helping a non Spanish speaker through the menu.
