When I booked this stay, I was only looking for a place to sleep on the way to the Algarve from Malaga. Instead I found a lovely hotel in a very quaint town with very kind staff, and delicious food. A hidden gem!

This hotel is a renovated palace in a beautiful hill-top town. It is charming and very well designed for comfort and visual appeal. The person at the front desk who greeted us was absolutely delightful.

A beautiful find in stunning Medina-Sidonia. Free parking is a 5 minute walk away, from this wonderfully renovated town house which is now a small boutique hotel. Access to the property is done via codes etc but communication is excellent and it is an easy process. The communal area, once inside, is stunning - decorated in a very Moorish style, it ticked all of our boxes. We had a small studio with a super sleek black kitchen - large fridge, hob etc but not really large enough to accommodate cooking meals etc. But why would you want to when you have all of Medina Sidonia's restaurants to explore? There is also a roof terrace with beds and chairs and two communal areas where you can have the complimentary teas/coffees offered. There is no breakfast option, but cakes and croissants were available, which is a very nice touch. We had a bit of a disaster with a canvas sunchair - the canvas sling split - and when we reported it, the owner could not have been nicer, only being concerned that no-one was hurt and then letting us know it had been remedied. We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, tranquil house and would thoroughly recommend it.
