We are members at Anfi and patalavaka has improved a lot over recent years. There’s a seafront walk from Marina elite all the way past Anfi, past patalavaka and on to arguinegin. The beach is idyllic at Anfi and there are other beaches too, swimming possible at all of them, plus some stairs into the water swimming areas where there are rocks rather than sand. There’s a lot of great places to eat or stop for a drink. There’s two ferries that operate arguinegin to Anfi to puerto Rico to puerto de mogan and that’s a fab trip for a day out too. There’s a lot of water sports offered at Anfi beach from pedalos, kayaks, parascending and jet skis for example. It’s beautiful and featured in many tv ads eg jet2 holidays.

We went in April/May. V hot! The beach itself is very nice.
We went in April/May. V hot! The beach itself is very nice. The town is not much to look at other than the beachfront. There are a couple of decent but standard restaurants and one slightly more expensive one. It is an easy drive to a number of other beaches. A

Barito beach is flat and rocky.
Barito beach is flat and rocky. Anfi Beach has golden sand from the Carribean but is busy.
10 minute taxi ride to Puerto Rico (about €5) where you can get a boat to see dolphins or glass bottom boats. Modern shopping centre there too.
Mogan is 15-20 mins away (€15-20) if no traffic. Mogan is very quaint with a weekly market. Nice shops and plenty of places to eat.
The beach is sandy but small.
Arguineguin is close too with a weekly market. It's a small fishing town.

The beach area at Pavalavaca is the best on the Island of Gran Canaria.
We spent most of our time at Anfi resorts, but the one night we stayed over at Marina Elite, was so good we will return. The hotel buffet is worth a visit if you are not staying at this resort hotel.

It was better than I expected.
It was better than I expected. The sound of waves putting us to sleep each night and the views were incredible. Sunsets worth opening a bottle of champagne for. We were also situated over the local restaurants. Great places to eat. Check out the beer garden grill and amazing bar b qued steaks. Wonderful food and staff. Patalavaca beach is situated so that if you ramble to your right to can spend the day at anfi beach ( check out the pizza restaurant there, best pizza I have ever tasted) and if you go left you can walk to the town of arguinaguin. Great beaches there too. Patalavaca beach itself is fabulous also and it's great to see so many people swimming so early in the mornings. I will be back and will definitely stay at Donana.
Clean. Cleaned well, towels changed regularly.
Spacious. Nice kitchen with pots, frying pans, glasses, wine glasses, cups, cutlery, plates, bottle opener etc. Large fridge. We cooked our own meals a couple of times. Coffee machine, tea boiler.
Thanks for the washing liquid.
Close to the beach (Playa de Patalavaca - rather small but very good, we swam there in January!)
Nice balcony to have breakfast on.
Restaurant was fine, friendly and polite personnel (new guy especially).
Fantastic property with exceptional sea view, very quite area and right in front of Patalavaca beach.
There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby to cover everyone taste.
Host very accommodating we arrived one hour earlier and she agree to meet us immediately to give us the Key.
Apartment super clean, there are a proper Nespresso coffee machines, fast wifi and TV with Netflix although not set in English.
We had a great sea view room in the upper part of the hotel and on arrival we upgraded from half-board to all inclusive which was good value. The beach bar was nice but a shame it closed at 10pm.
