Overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, Mojacar is a medieval Moorish, town in the Spanish Province of Almería. This white-walled destination, which is situated on a rocky hillside at the foot of the Sierra de Cabrera, will surprise you with its natural beauty and unique architecture.

Rich in history and cultural heritage, Mojacar has been populated since the 2000 BC by Moors, Phoenicians, Greeks, Carthaginians and Romans. Today, it is a maze of narrow streets with local shops, street markets and restaurants serving traditional dishes like the ancient 'gachas'.

Travellers can park their car and explore the old town of this beautiful resort on foot.  Home to 17 km of Blue Flag sandy beaches like Granatilla, the Playa de los Genoveses and the Playa de Monsul, the modern part of this coastal resort is an ideal place to enjoy outdoor activities like swimming, sailing and surfing. Mojacar is a beautiful place , especially Mojacar pueblo.

Mojacar is a beautiful place , especially Mojacar pueblo. It’s very quirky with narrow cobbled streets and lovely little gift shop, restaurants and bars. We have eaten at many different restaurants but this last stay we ate at La Calenda and it was beautiful, service was good and food and drinks were excellent. Location was good with a view over the bottom square. We had drinks before at Time and Place, a cute little bar down one of the cobbled streets. I feel that some of the streets would be difficult to navigate with a pushchair and definitely not good for a wheelchair.

Mojacar is an excellent seaside resort, with very good restaurants and beach bars. The old town is well worth a visit for its shops selling good quality local goods. A great place to buy gifts. The views from here are superb. A visit is cheap and easy by bus.

We like the cleanliness of the hotel as a whole.

We like the cleanliness of the hotel as a whole. The staff were friendly from start to finish. There was great variety of food on offer, it was tasty but was very lukewarm because of its location to air conditioning set at very low temperature. This was also directly above the tables and felt very cold while eating. A lot of saving could be made if this was set to around 22 to 24 deg. But all and all, we really loved the experience.

Undoubtedly the best holiday I’ve ever been on.

Undoubtedly the best holiday I’ve ever been on. The apartment was amazing, the pool was great, the beach was beautiful, the people were friendly, the local amenities were good and the restaurants were varied and reasonably priced. It can get very hot in Mojácar but the temperature was just perfect when we visited in mid to late June. The ATM machines are not free to use but the charges are not too high as long as you withdraw larger amounts at one time.

The hotel had fabulous views from our balcony & could see the sea. We loved Mojàcar great lot of pubs & eating places, prices fairly reasonable, just from our hotel it cost 10euur each way to get to the beach front . We will definitely return as it's just a hour & a half away from where we live , we were at the bottom of the old town very steep hills up to it but could have got a bus but we wanted to see everything & the old town is well worth a visit . Typically Spanish lovely shops & the people were very friendly it's really worth going their, but if you are in the beachfront definitely get the bus . Their is nothing not to like about Mojàcar it's such a beautiful place & so relaxing

Wonderful beaches with a good variety of gift shops and restaurants serving different types of food to suit most people. A visit to Pueblo Mojacar is a must. It is very pretty with its white houses, although it is very hilly. Some people might find it very tiring for walking around. However, the market there on Wednesday mornings is worth a visit and the bus service is brilliant - every half hour or there about. The local people we met in shops, etc, were all very pleasant.

Warm and friendly staff in reception and in the restaurant really made you feel welcome. Enjoyed having the electric kettle in the room so that we could enjoy an early morning cup of tea - a new addition since our last stay. Perfectly located along the playa to be able to enjoy the wide range of bars and restaurants in walking distance - would be our first choice hotel if we return to Mojacar again. We only had breakfast in the hotel this time

Excellent location for Mojacar Pueblo- a short walk up the last bit of the hill (good exercise- helps if you are reasonably fit). There is also a regular bus service until late each day, running along the whole sea front. Great view from the terrace. Idyllic approach up the steps to the Bougainvillea-clad front door.

The location of this hotel is fantastic, right in the middle of the old town. The owner was extremely friendly and made us very welcome. The beds are very comfortable which is important to me. The breakfast was lovely, it was buffet style with a selection of pastries, cheeses, meats, fruits etc.
