Big stunning hotel. Ample room ensuite big toilet with balcony and magnific views to the sea. Great buffet with a variety of quality food. Animation at the pool along the day and music animation for adults on a huge terrace and stage. Accessible linked to the sea and bus every our to visit the hole town. I will be back soon again. The house is amazing, very spacious and clean, it had everything we needed, cleaning service every day and all (small) technical problems were dealt with immediately. Great location and pool. We stayed with young children and it was very easy to go to the beach.

Matalascanas is right beside Donana National Park but the mosquitoes don't stay behind the fence so bring plenty of insect repellent because they are irrepressible and they are everywhere. At this time of the year (April), the main supermarkets are closed (Google lies about this) and so are a lot of restaurants and other shops etc. At this time also, the bars and restaurants on the beach are mostly understaffed and overpriced and so don't expect service with a smile or in a hurry.

Its a strange sort of half deserted seaside town, moatly 2nd homes. We visited in March i imagine it is much busier in summer. Not many places to eat out off season and the places they did have are very basic. One ripped us off by charging 40e for a piece of steak, but it is the closest beach place to Seville. The beach its self and sunset, and surrounding nature areas are beautiful.

The beach and the sea were the best you could expect. The town was dead. A lot of places were already closed down for the winter in mid- September when it was still very warm and sunny. Matalascanas is a weird place. Spanish holiday makers from nearby Seville may love it but for international travellers I do not rate it at all.
1. Very nice tranquil territtory, I am surprised they don't have more outside pictures here 2. 5-10 mins walking from the beach, bus station, restaurant street. 3. I liked my single room. The bathroom is separated from the bedroom just with a glass semi-wall, so the shower cabin is basically in the room, but it was spacious enough to be comfortable for one person, and I understood this lay-out only applies for this particular room 4. The pool was nice and not crowded in fully booked hotel
A fantastic location right on the beach, a view of the ocean...
I visited off season and it was very quiet (which I liked), so I extended my stay to six nights.
The sunset was beautiful and it was a perfect base from which to visit the Columbus trail and Doñana park.
Mónica was very supportive, provided all information and responded very quickly.
