a remarkable city that has much to showcase, every nook & cranny is worth exploring. Each neighbourhood more charming than the next. Riding the electric bikes (saves the feet) didn't metro at all (a cheaper option than bike) so was able to experience so much while riding around, feeling like a local.
history, architecture, food, rooftop bars, a very green city - so beautiful.

I lived in Madrid in the 60's and fell in love with it.
I lived in Madrid in the 60's and fell in love with it. There's so much to see and do. The Prado by itself could take up several days. I love to "tapear" and the fixed price "menu del dia" is a great bargain. Wish Sobrino de Botin (the world's oldest restaurant) was easier to access, but I'll go and stand in line at 1:00 today to see if I can get in. Their roast lamb and pork are amazing.

The food was delicious in any restaurant.
The food was delicious in any restaurant. You must go to Mercado and try some food there. Flamenco dance was amazing. Visit Prado Museum and take a guided tour there. We used hop on hop off bus for 2 days and went through the whole city few times, also the walking tour with Paul was very interesting. Retiro park is wonderful and peaceful, you can rent a boat there and enjoy a beautiful lake.

Madrid is very nice and cosy with a lot of parks and walking spaces. On every corner there is a public bench where you can sit and watch other people. There are no tourist highlights, but nevertheless enough to see. Small bars to have a drink or eat tapas. Metro is 10 trips for Euro 6.10 which is extremely cheap and it is very reliable and fast.
The only problem: a lot spanish don't speak english.

Madrid has all the excitement and facilities of a capitol city but is friendly, safe, and comparatively easy to navigate. I loved the art galleries, theatres, and shopping but also the relaxed squares, flamenco and traditional dining.
A great hotel in a convenient location in Madrid city centre. We loved our Premium room with terrace where we enjoyed views across the city. The bed was very comfortable, the toiletries supplied were luxurious and the staff were polite, friendly, courteous and very helpful. We loved the lady singer at breakfast time. The theatre is amazing and we look forward to a return visit to see a show in the future.
Really loved the short stay in Madrid in this hotel. The breakfast was really great, even with churros and other tasty and fresh food! The room was very clean, with beautiful interior and painting on the wall. The hotel is located in the city centre, easy to find, close to metro and bus stations, so it is very convenient.
Hotel was in a great location, being a short walk from Gran Via metro station, with easy connections to the airport. Room was nice and cool. Shower was decent, everything worked fine. Lovely, welcoming staff too, and decent value for the centre of Madrid.
Nice clean hotel. Only stayed for a night due to layover in Madrid. Taxi is about €15-€20 to the airport and it’s about 45 mins from the city centre by public transport. All in all a fine hotel for a good price.
The hotel is in great location from the city centre. The Hotel is very close to the Metro/Tube. The Madrid Metro is very clean, safe, good value for money with air-condition.
