This hotel was exceptional. My husband became ill and the very helpful reception arranged a doctor’s appointment and taxi to return us and our bicycles to Santander. So friendly and helpful

Nicely presented hotel in the centre of the town. Own car park. Nice room with view. Weather wasn't good enough to get in the pool but the outside area was very pleasant.

The location was very good for the hiking that we were doing. The town is very nice. The unit was clean and we were very happy that there was parking out back of the unit.

Such a beautiful area with access to some of the best hiking routes in the Picos de Europa National Park. The town is very quaint with all the necessary amenities and a lovely atmosphere for walkers. There is a bus service, but would recommend checking the times in detail before heading off and planning accordingly (or renting a car in order to explore the area with ease).

Arenas is a great little town with bars, restaurants and shops, enough to be able to choose from but not so many as to be too busy. The cultural heritage is well seen and cared for and a short walk around the village exploring, a few local cheese shops to try the queso de Cabrales, or the cheese caves. From here you can do so many things, walks, excursions, climbing, adventures!
We ate mostly in our hotel but had a lovely drink and tapas in bar El Raitán.

The town is in the middle of the Picos de Europa.
The town is in the middle of the Picos de Europa. Although not as well-known as some other mountain ranges, the scenery is as good as the Alps, if not better, The town centre is fairly flat with plenty of bars and restaurants. There is a very nice ice cream shop. All the local people we met were very friendly.

A pleasant village in the Picos - provides a better alternative to the busy and more popular Potes and Panes. Eating out is reasoanbly easy, though choice can be a bit limited. Quite a few hotels here and some smaller guest houses too. Scenery in the area is outstanding - I recommend for anything from walking to motorcycling.

We had timed our visit to coincide with the Cabrales cheese and cider festival (last Sunday of August) as we have attended this before and enjoyed it and we were not disappointed; the whole town was buzzing with people, traditional Asturian music and costumes and lots of superb traditional food.
There’s a regular bus service to Poncebos from where there is access to lovely walks such as the village of Bulnes (can also be accessed by funicular train) and the stunning Cares Gorge and others

This town is a gateway to Picos de Europa, where we did several days of hiking. There are some good hotels here. However, food choices are very limited, especially for vegetarians/vegans. Note that most places don't start serving dinner until 8 pm, which was a challenge after we'd been out on the trails until the afternoon.

Beautiful, quiet hotel, with clean and spacious rooms, in a peaceful location with mountain views. Great restaurant with 3 courses for only €25. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and allowed us to leave our car and luggage there for a few days while hiking. It was easy to walk into town and catch a bus to Poncebos for access to La Ruta del Cares and Bulnes.
Perfectly located for our first night off the ferry. Great value. Good parking for the motorbike but it's quite small and on a first come first served basis, otherwise it's on the street or the public car park behind the hotel.
No restaurant for evening meals but a very good one right next door.
arrival hotel reception at 16:00 with no staff at reception, but hotel cancelled me even through the booking show me confirmed and checkin schedule 16.00-16.30, with saying no check in online.
i accept their cancel,
but even worst is that it is with no refund after many communication!
Fabulous location and a really lovely town. Good access to nearby popular walks and a fabulous area to explore. The view was really special and the room was a good enough size for the price paid. Very quiet little hotel, just a couple of minutes from great bars and cafes.
This wonderful hotel is situated in the mountains, with stunning views and walks. The owner and staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was out of this world! Cordon Blue standard in a country inn!
