It is good, basic apartamnet in a nice location with private pool and parking. Property is close to the beach (up to 10min by foot), there are good few nice restaurants around.

The penthouse is very clean, nicely decorated and feels very spacious with its 8 beds and 3 floors. Fully equipped with everything you need. The sunroof (with outside shower!) is amazing. We had some great nights at the bar there. It has a good location with nice views and hiking and cycling possibilities around the mountains and its very close to the beach and center of La Cala de Mijas. Just one road, less than 5 minute drive! Its close to many other great places to visit like Marbella and Malaga. We also played Golf at walking distance! Will definitely come back here!

First of all the host is very kind and flexible. We decided spontanously that we wanted to do a daily trip to Marbella before checking in. There was no problem at all to do the check in at 10 pm.
The place is small, cozy and clean. They directly offered towels to take for the beach which is 50-100m away.
There is no parking place belonging directly to the Apartment but it was quite easy to find one in near area.

There aren't many restaurants near the Vik Grand Hotel only a handful, so the choice is very limited. Unless you're prepared to taxi out, then there are plenty. The hotel doesn't offer a list of reputable restaurants which would be a good option to have, as not everyone has full board. Beach cafe is absolutely dreadful. Bad mannered staff and sloppy food. A friend who had warned me not to bother going was right!! All in all I think there should be more local bar/ restaurants as you're stuck for choice and very limited in what or where you could go for lunch/ dinner. In saying that, La Bomba restaurant 15- 20 minute walk was friendly and served delicious food

It's a lovely area and I have been here many times but at the moment (May 2024) there is construction everywhere. So many roads being done up, shops being renovated etc. It will probably be lovely when it's finished but until it is, it's not very nice to walk around there.

Post covid La Cala is quite expensive.
Post covid La Cala is quite expensive. If you are looking for a good meal for a good price, it is worth taking a trip to La Cala Hills.
That said we enjoyed our trip and love to see how the village is developing and changing. Some of our favorite places have gone but some other good options have popped up also.

It is a smallish resort with a very nice relaxing atmosphere. There were plenty of varied restaurants of a decent standard to choose from. Good access by cheap bus or taxi to other coastal resorts such as Marbella and Fuengirola.

A charming town close to the airport, only 30 minutes away. Beautiful beach, restaurants and shops by the beach. we enjoyed the walking and cycling path along the beach. People are very friendly, smiling and helpful. In May, the temperature was perfect, we returned home, very tanned and saturated with sunlight. A very good point to visit Andalusia, I recommend Ronda and Calminito del Rey ♥️ We must come back here, there are many places to see!

A lovely coastal working town with a large choice of excellent restaurants, coffee shops and bars. There is a market every Wednesday and Saturday and small stalls in the town during high season. We enjoy long walks along the boardwalk which has numerous places to stop for refreshments and admire beautiful beaches and sea views. Easy access to bus routes to Marbella or Fuengirola. Great facilities for all ages.

Everything! The location is perfect - steps to the beach, 10 minutes to the boulevard, next to a lovely park and above a delicious bakery! Pool area is fab. The apartment is lovely and modern. Beach chairs and beach towels provided. Toiletries in each of the THREE bathrooms. Secure and safe entrance. On a drop off junction so coaches coming and going but there's a big hotel across the road, so can't be helped.
Amazing value for money. Having a full apartment for a longer stay for less than a cheap hotel was awesome. Great location. The Asian store on the property is like a miniature WalMart superstore... they have everything... it's an experience just to go into it and see the products one can carry in a small space (for great prices). Super Indian food a short walk away and great location to get to La Cala de Mijas.
Spacious one bedroom apt. Nice big terrace. Lounge and kitchen area had all we needed. It has a nice pool although weather was so bad when we were there (May2023) that we didn't use it. A few restaurants and couple of bars nearby. Buses frequent to all the resorts along the coast from the main road although its quite a walk down hill.
Close to the beach, clean spacious accommodation, good transport links nearby, clean pool area. Fairly quiet and peaceful location. Friendly reception staff. Handy shop on site but close to local supermarkets and Lidl. Restaurants within resort and nearby so plenty choice.
The view from the 6th floor, westward, is excellent. The poolside cafe is good and is about 5 metres from the beach. Excellent bus connection. Most of the restaurants in La Cala are overpriced for Spain. Fuengirola has great value and is only 15 minutes away by bus.
This hotel is amazing value for money. Before reading any of the reviews complaining about it not being a five stars hotel, check the prices for other similar hotels in the area. For its price, it delivered what was advertised and more.

The resort is beautiful and well kept. Pool is heated and area is very nice.
Location is perfect with direct access to the boardwalk and beach. The view from the apartment is stunning. The apartment is well equipped.
We felt good here,very comfortable and modern apartment. Full equipped kitchen and 2 bathrooms large terrace. Quiet place ,stunning view as described. We had a wonderful time in Spain. Highly recommend! 😊
