It is a lovely Spanish seaside town which is not spoilt by young lager louts. As a British traveller I am glad that it is not spoilt by our not so appreciative younger travellers who all head off to the lively Benidorm! The town is visited by holiday makers from Madrid as well as mainly middle aged/older British tourists who all know how to behave and how to respect the Spanish customs. The town is quite compact and most places can be easily accessed on foot. There are many restaurants and bars to cater for all tastes. They have regular markets It is about an half hour drive away from Alicante Airport and taxis are readily available to transport you. We have visited this town on many occasions and love it.

I wanted a quiet place to stay to relax and gave time to unwind and be by myself. This was IDEAL. The information available for busses etc was a little difficult to fully understand but for the most part the staff were very obliging and helpful. The cleaning ladies were possible the friendliest.
There is NO SHOP close by, so getting cigarettes is an issue,... stock up before you go.

The evening menu was too Spanish for us but plenty of bars /restaurants within walking distance
Just very disappointed with the breakfast, our first breakfast there was plenty to choose from, céreals, cheeses , hams croissants and delicious cakes. Our second day/breakfast bearing in mind breakfast is served 8-10am we were there at 9.15am there was nothing apart from toast and a selection of cheeses no croissants no cakes just empty plates and no staff were in there to ask! We waited till 9.30 am still no one one to ask so we left and did not feel 9 euros for a glass of orange and some toast ask a slice of cheese was worth the money! Where were the breakfast staff? We asked the receptionist but she just pretended she didn’t understand us.

Great selection of restaurants, cafes and bars.
Great selection of restaurants, cafes and bars. Highly recommend bar El Gaby, for food, drinks and service and the Mercadona supermarket nearby open 9 to 9 Monday to Saturday. Other good shops including a huge homewares store and excellent shoe shops. Everything is walkable and there are several parks for coolness in the hot weather. Beaches are long, wide and well kept - very very clean. Even in the quiet days of Dec/Jan when many of the facilities are closed near the beach, there are still plenty of other bars and restaurants staying open.

THE BAR BEACH IS BRILL THE BEDS ARE 6 EURO EACH AND PAROSOL 6EURO NOT BAD PRICE.. NOT ENOUGH ENTERTAINMENT IN HOTEL YES INSIDE IF YOU WANT TO FEEL LIKE YOU HAVE BEEN PUT INTO A NURSING HOME NEED MORE ON THE OUTSIDE AS THERE IS LOTS OF SPACE FOR IT.. THE BEACH I LOVED THE MOST SO BEAUTIFUL..OK I SUPPOSE FOR FAMILIES AND OLDER FOLKS AS FOR YOUNG COUPLES THEY WOULD HAVE TO GET TAXIS INTO GOING OUT BUT EVERYONE TO THERE OWN..

The position of the hotel was excellent, next to the park, close to the beach, bars and restaurants and shops.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
It looked like there had been a flood in the bathroom, the door was swollen and cracked, but, they had substantially reduced the price of the room to compensate for the bathroom, so no problem.
