Dona Mayor is my absolute favorite!
A restful , relaxing spot...home away from home.

The place was very comfortable. The community pilgrim meal was amazing. Beautiful lentil soup followed by fish, chicken breast or beef stew and ice cream for dessert, plenty of red wine and water all for about €14.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and was made to feel very welcome. We had dinner at the hotel as well as breakfast and the food was delicious. All made on the premises and exceptional quality. We visited the church, its amazing. Will definitely be going back.

Great place in idyllic location. Hosts were friendly and helpful and cooked delicious meal in the restaurant. Rooms cleaned spacious.
A beautiful small town right on the Camino de Santiago.
A beautiful small town right on the Camino de Santiago. Full of character, lots of charming architecture, a delightful bakery with breakfast/coffee facilities and friendly staff. Also an hostel El Apostel in the plaza, with a kind owner who took us in late at night...highly recommended.
The hotel was exactly what I needed after two long walking days on the Camino, so much so that I added an extra night so that I could take a rest day! The rooms were clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable and the rooms had a nice tub if you wanted to take a bath. There was a nice patio with a small pool that was perfect for a cold foot or body soak at the end of the day. They also had a massage therapist available to do a foot/scalp reflexology session, which I would highly recommend!
This is a wonderful place to stay in Frómista. The view from our spacious terrace was lovely: across to the church tower, with storks nesting at the top. The room was extremely comfortable. The lady on reception went out of her way to help us feel comfortable and remembered about my need for extra pillows. She was also generally really friendly. Everything was extremely clean, with a good strong shower and an excellent bed. Highly recommended.
Coming to this hotel after a long hot Camino walk and finding a smiling staff who just hands you your key and says they will check your ID later... And your luggage already carried up, waiting at your room door... I wanted to kiss the receptionist! This is my second or third stay here, and I have always been pleasantly surprised. Thank you Hotel San Martin :)
It's conveniently located just off the way. The staff were friendly and helpful ( the lady at reception carried my bag to my room a level of service I haven't received at more 'luxury' hotels on the way). The room was clean and the shower was hot. I just had coffee in the morning but breakfast is available.
Charming hotel, lovely staff
I thoroughly enjoyed my one night stay at Dona Mayor. It's a gem of a place right on the Camino. I treated myself to a reflexology massage with Lydia which was fantastic. Beds were comfy, breakfast good, all in all very happy with my stay.
Ideally situated just off the trail, this was a well maintained hotel, with a superb en-suite room and comfortable bed. The host didn't speak much English, but was friendly and helpful, and advised me where was best to eat.
The hotel was right in the middle of town just across from the main cathedral and just steps away from the Camino. The room was very pleasant - and they had the nicest towels I've yet used in Spain!
The owner was wonderful. She welcome you with a drink, checked us in, then showed us to our room. The room was great, so clean and tidy. Our stay here was the best Fromista has to offer.
There was no restaurant connected to the hotel but great choices within the block. The bedroom was filled with really nice antiques that made it feel special to the location
