We had a 2 bedroom room which had lots of space for us and our 2 children. It was clean and the directions to find it/access to free parking was great. Close the town - all the shops and restaurants.

We loved Cudillero.
We loved Cudillero. We only had 3 nights but that was not enough. We could easily have stayed for a week as there was so much to do. We explored the village by foot, we ate in many of the wonderful seafood restaurants (Recommend El Remo and Isabel), we bought groceries and shopped and we drove to several nearby Sandy beaches. We went for a drive to the valley of the bears which was very picturesque. However there are also many lovely cities close by that we ran out of time to visit like Oviedo. There was also a rail trail in the Valley of the bears that we would like to come back and do as it looked like a stunning ride.

54 steps from street level to 2nd floor room.
54 steps from street level to 2nd floor room. I am 84 and my wife is 76; she has a mobility problem. No mention was made of the steep climb. I should have asked, maybe, but we do not normally have problems with a reasonable number of stairs.
Car parking. A public park 12 minutes walk away is unacceptable.
The bathroom was very small.
The curtains were could not beheld back because of the 45° slope. So the windows couldn’t be opened. It was over 30° when were there. The curtains had to be close at night as there was a huge public street lamp right outside the bedroom. It was on all night. There was also a public path right outside the bedroom.

Cudillero is a delightful little town with a gorgeous fishing harbor, tourists on summer weekends, a couple of pleasant walks (one with an amazing view of the harbor and the ocean), a few restaurants, and a very pretty 2-star hotel named La Casona de Pio. We enjoyed fresh fish at the Casa de Julio. We also had an excellent lunch at El Cafe del Faro, right next to our hotel.

I was there for 2 days. Way too long. Half a day would do it.
Food is very expensive in the restaurants. The idea being that seafood direct from the Cantabrian sea is expensive, but I'd have thought the lack of transport costs would make it cheaper than in Madrid, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

A lovely little fishing port.
A lovely little fishing port. Plenty of restaurants serving local food, which were still open in October when we went.
Lovely for a walking holiday (as long as you have strong legs as it's all steep hills!).
This is by far the cleanest most well-taken care of hotel, I've ever stayed in. The furniture and design are dated, but absolutely immaculatly maintained. Reception was curtious, although not totally comfortable speaking English, so knowing some Spainish will improve your stay, but still very kind and helpful. Except for the seagulls, it was so quiet at night, even with the window open, which was suprising because the hotel is in the center, steps from restaurants and shopping.
This quaint boutique hotel oozes charm and character. Although old, the rooms have been nicely updated and were comfortable. The grounds are beautiful and the property has several sitting areas to enjoy reading, chatting or getting to know other guests. The staff was especially helpful and friendly, especially Rachel. The town itself is also a treasure. We enjoyed just wandering around and taking the steps up and down to different levels of the town.
A unique quirky place in a special location, right in the centre of Cudillero. The Old Palace Tower felt like a walk back in time full of charm and antiques. If you are up for an adventure and interested in history that is the place for you. Fernando the host went out of his way to make us feel welcome and recommended lots of things to do in the area which we would have missed otherwise on our too short stay. We are hoping to be back again soon.
This hotel is a real find! Beautiful and classic building with complete modernization in all areas. Great location with parking and easy access to Cudillero and the surrounding areas. Spacious, updated and clean rooms in a quiet area very close to many good restaurants. The hosts/owners are delightful people, knowledgeable about the area and so welcoming. Excellent authentic regional breakfast. We’re so glad we chose to stay here!
Casa del Pintor has a breathtaking view over the lovely Cudillero, its harbour and the sea. We enjoyed our stay very much, also thanks to the host. The host was very welcoming and helpful and gave very good tips for restaurants and other things you need as a traveller. She also told the story of the house (which belonged to a painter, and his paintings are still inside) and this gave the perfect frame for a great stay.
Staying at Hotel Sol de la Blanca was amazing, I am really glad I booked this hotel! It's very well located, comfortable, clean and Pruden, the manager is very welcoming, nice and kind, giving tips about the city and restaurants, talking with customers. He is definitely a bonus to this nice place, making you feel at home! I recommend the hotel and will book again there if I return to the beautiful Cudillero!
Very private suite in a bungalow.
Good parking inside the courtyard.
Very quiet neighborhood.
Excellent shower.
Vicinity to the outstanding Palacio la Quinta de Selgas, a must visit!
Not sure about location vs cudillero, if you could find any closer to the port of cudillero. By foot is 2km, entering cudillero from the mountain. By car you go on a longer round route entering cudillero from the seaside, 9km.
The fisherman’s cottage was an over and cozy place to stay in Cudillero. It was cozy and the view from the apartment was so picturesque. Manuela our host made every effort to make our stay so enjoyable, The bed was the best we had stayed in so far. The fact that there three flights in the building did not bother us in the least and we are seniors.
The house is a typical Asturias house but remodeled and upgraded inside. Very well equipped with everything you may need. They also received as with a frappe sidra! Big detail. We keep besutiful memories from our stay in El Pradin. Absolutamente recomendable!!!
And very close to Cudillero port but far enough to be quiet and park without problem.
I Loved everything about this place, comfortable rooms, the reception lady was amazing and super friendly, location is just fantastic, the hotel is small but beautiful and has everything you need, just 5 min away walking you have a huge parking lot if you are driving.
My family and I had the best experience ever.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
This is a hidden gem. Every detail is perfect, great location (it is an uphill walk to. Get to but totally worth it) drop dead gorgeous view from the room. Our host was so lovely, enthusiastic and accommodating. Our only wish was that we stayed longer than two nights. It was our highlight of our northern Spain trip.
The staff were wonderful. Augustine recommended the restaurant Faro beside the hotel and we were not disappointed. Paula advised us on local places along the coast to visit- she is so passionate about her region and that visitors will enjoy it.
Highly recommend the breakfast.
A beautiful hotel with very efficient staff
So helpful and friendly
Breakfast was exceptional quality
Staff could not be more helpful.
Rooms were spacious very clean and had beautiful views. Nice added touch of complimentary sweets and beach towel to use.
Staff was wonderful. Paula, Monica and everyone were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. Lovely restaurant and service with anything including crepes. Charming fishing village. Hotel in great location.
I really enjoyed my stay at Villa Cudillero. Such a sweet apartment with everything you need and could wish for. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. I felt at home.
We stayed one night at the hotel and had a very comfortable stay. The rooms were clean and spacious. A short drive down to the town and then a walk down to the old harbour.
I loved the house. The host was the most amazing one that I met till now in Spain , loved the breakfast everything was local, homemade and fresh, thank you
