The staff were lovely and welcoming and the old building is attractive and dignified. Breakfast was very good. Best of all was the location in the amazing old town of Laguardia, set on a hilltop in the heart of Rioja Alicante. We could easily reach the Balcon de Rioja (fantastic views) and the beautiful, quiet mountains of the Sierra de la Demanda. Don’t miss Frank Gehry’s funky hotel en route. The other amazing Bodega, Ysios, can be seen from the eastern car park for the town. Also watching town clock on the hour is quite a thing.
Offering a shared lounge and mountain view, The Manor House is situated in Laguardia, 17 km from Spanish Federation of Friends of the Camino de Santiago Associations and 17 km from La Rioja Museum.

This is a charming, characterful guest house in the heart of a beautiful medieval town.the rooms are thoughtfully appointed, comfortable and spotlessly clean. It is clear from the moment you arrive that the owners wish you to have an enjoyable and memorable stay, this they achieved and more. It is not often that your accommodation becomes part of the charm of your holiday, El Retiro Del Obispo does this. Our thanks to Terri for a superb few days, we will be back.

Our stay at Casa Robla was incredible. The owner Cristina was extremely warm and hospitable. She was very helpful with recommendations and any requests we had. Carmen who prepared the breakfast was also very helpful and kind. Thank you for an unforgettable experience🙏🏼 If we visit La Rioja region again we will definitely return to Casa Robla. Congratulations on creating such a magical space🙏🏼 P.S Cristina also has her own winery so don’t forget to try some of her delicious wines❤️
