Exactly what they promised. The lads on the desk were friendly and helpful, easy parking, great pool and book libraries. Did not avail ourselves of all facilities in our one night stay - but bar and restaurant looked fine. Great meal in Competa central square.

The view was spectacular!!!!! The villa was in a beautiful peaceful area where we enjoyed the quiet immensely. We really enjoyed the pool and the spacious rooms. The jacuzzi was also nice - we only got to enjoy it on our last day as it wasn't heated, and we only took the villa for 2 nights.

Absolutely everything, amazing decor, super comfortable rooms, brilliant hospitality. Casa Jardin had such an inviting vibe as soon as you walked through the door. The hosts Anthony and Ian were so welcoming and they made the stay so much better with an amazing breakfast and friendly conversation. Everything about this place was perfection!!
Such an amazing stay, we honestly see it more as a destination point than a stop over, we would definitely recommend staying for more than one night to really enjoy the charming city that is just outside the steps of the property. Prime location!
We would travel all the way from Australia to stay here again!!

Kicos was in a brilliant location - close to the centre of Competa square near to the restaurants, bars and shops. The Tapas in Pacos was amazing! Our hosts at Kicos David and Tracey were lovely. Our room was very nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was very nice - nothing was too much trouble. Would definately recommend this place!

Amazing location. Lots of space inside and outside the house. We were 15 people (8 adults, 7 kids) and we didnt feel squeezed at all. The owner is very friendly, helpful and always available. Recommend 100%.

Cómpeta is a beautiful place with lots of restaurants and bars shops and supermarkets. It’s not far from the coast and other villages. So always lots to do . Cómpeta is very clean with an amazing church. It is very hilly so walking in the heat is a challenge. We would definitely recommend especially when they have their festivals

Competa is a whitewashed village with narrow streets. Not many shops to visit but a nice square adjacent to the Church. We would recommend a lovely restaurant called El Pilon on all 3 nights we were there with food and staff excellent. However the journey to and from there is torturous and didn’t enjoy the ride at all.

After you are here for a short while you get the feeling of a community that is healthy and functional. There is an outdoor market once a week. The restaurants and cafes are good, the shops are lovely. Very nice wine and local product shop on a corner steps to the right of the main square. Walk around Cómpeta and you will find several gems of shops, views, and eating places. Cómpeta's streets are hilly and you have to have comfortable grippy shoes. In the short time we were there our legs defnitely got a workout! A very friendly place, 25 minute drive from the coast. But frankly, we loved the energy there and didn't even miss being on the coast. It was relaxing, had art, culture, food. Lovely air and sunshine!

Set in the hillside mountain you find the truly Mediterranean white houses and buildings tiered up the mountainside. As one can imagine narrow streets and lots of steps, steep climb in Competa. Park the car and enjoy the walk, stop at one of the cafes and take in the atmosphere.
However, if you are mobility impaired I would think otherwise.
Once you are in Competa and at a view point embrace the surroundings. Reserve a table at Restaurant Pilon for a truly enjoyable meal.

Great town just to wander around, lovely little streets, plenty of photo opportunities. The restaurants in the square by the church serve very decent food - tapas and similar. Competa is located well for trips to the beach - Nerja, Maro being two we enjoyed and also for trips to the Alhambra and Rhonda (bit of a drive but worth it). Would not really like to drive on the winding road up to Competa in the dark! An April visit was a good choice, not too hot and spring flowers in abundance. There were many walking groups around - those hills look compelling but challenging!

An idyllic town on the verge of the mountains and natural park. There are a lot of expats but the town still has a very Spanish charm. Medical center open and very accessible if needed. Restaurante el Pilon has the best ever lamb chops grilled to perfection with char coal. Several small supermarkets so you won't get hungry even if you're self catering.
People were very friendly in general.
We couldn’t fault the villa, it was a home from home. Great location, lots to do. Competa is a good base. We’ve been 3 times now and just love it. No idea why someone said it was boring for young people. I travelled with my Uni age daughter and had planned something to do every day. Loved the mountains and scenery. Nigel the owner was just great.
Great location - quiet and relaxing with no disturbances. 10 min drive into Competa with everything you could want. Fantastic villa to recharge and reset one’s self. Great communication from Sylvia. Second stay here definitely not the last.
Stunning location with views, excellent facilities, spotlessly clean, and a great host always keeping in touch.
2nd stay highly recommended, will definitely be my go too place when staying in Competa.
