    Hotel room was clean.

Hotel room was clean. Nice little balcony but could only use it to dry our clothes. Our room was western exposure and became extremely hot. Unbearable . I would not recommend this hotel to my friends. Hotel was basically empty and they could have been thoughtful enough to put us on Northern or Eastern exposure. If I had know I would have asked for the western or eastern side.

Castrojeriz, Albergue Orion was a hostal for pilgrims but we had an actual room with private bath. We had the meal on offer which was Korean vegetables over rice with soup & egg. The folks that ran it were really great. A Korean woman did all the food, Mustafa was the greeter and check-in guy then there was a sweet young French girl and a young fellow who were the extra help. Well run operation. Good parking.

What a lovely country house for a calming respite stop in the beautiful town of Castrojeriz. Wonderful places to sit and admire the views from the huge picture windows in the downstairs lounge and sunny patio. Definitely a wonderful recommendation to all future travellers to stay at this delightful 'Casa Rural'. Thank you to the friendly staff for letting us stay an extra night, it was much appreciated!

Brand new boutique hotel, build on the grounds of the ruins of a convent. The facility and rooms are completely modern and very casual chic. Large grounds behind the hotel, there is a restaurant, which I did not try but the menu sounded quite interesting. They have a self serve mini snacks, wine and beer alcove. A very tranquil and beautiful stay, highly recommended.

Lovely house, nice room, modern bathroom. The owner very friendly, he has transformed a centuries-old dilapidated house into a charming rural hotel with good taste! We had a delicious menu for a modest price and a hearty breakfast. Take your time for visiting the ancient village with its interesting shape , amazing churches, ruins of fortress on top of the hill.

The location was excellent, right in the middle of Castrojeriz, very near the Camino. They have a restaurant on the premises, delicious food, and we were able to get coffee and pastries early the next morning so that we could start the Camino early. Very nice and efficient staff. We had a spacious room, with a view of the terrace. All very agreeable.

A beautifully curated hotel! The staff were welcoming and served us so kindly -- from welcoming us, to drinks on the terrace, to washing our laundry in a timely manner. The breakfast the next morning was delicious in the beautiful dining room as we took in the vistas of Castrojeriz!

Located right at the end of Castrojeriz, Rosalia is a great pilgrim hostel to mingle with other pilgrims. It doesn't take long for Rosalia fill up. I enjoy my stay here. Javier is a great host and the breakfast was perfect for the next day's walk!
