Location and hospitality. As I'm on a motorcycle tour, it was the perfect place to stay with fantastic roads in the area 👌 The views are incredible, and it is in a very quiet/safe secluded area. The decor is very quaint, and the layout of the hotel is good. Staff are very friendly.
Boasting garden views, El Refugi de les Basses offers accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 14 km from Vall de Núria Ski station.

On the outskirts of town, friendly hotel with good quality rooms and comfy bed. There is safe onsite parking.
Unfortunately - very not!! recommended. Beautiful location, an apartment that was supposed to be excellent, but in practice I do not recommend it!! - For several reasons:
The apartment stinks of cigarettes! The apartment does not have basic things such as: coffee, tea, shampoo or even a kettle. A tiny shower with a curtain. And to conclude: the electricity went out in the middle of our shower and dinner! Luckily we caught the owner of the apartment and he sent someone to pick up the electricity that went down at the fault of the landlord who left several washing machines that worked together. We got a small apology and nothing more. I suggest to everyone who is thinking about the place to consider another location.
The place is located on the countryside of the catalan Pyrenees and was a beautiful overnight stop on my Enduro trip across the mountains. I was able to park my motorbike directly in the garage underneath the hotel. I really liked the rustical and warm interiour design of the hotel. The restaurant is also highly reccomended. It has big windows with a lovely view into the mountains and offers a variety of tasty catalan meals. The staff is very friendly and eager to help in any way even you're only speaking a little spanish.
The drive to the location, views from the hotel and the staff (including the hotel owner) made our short stay the absolute highlight of our vacation. In the restaurant, they even went out of their way to print out an English version of the menu for us without us even having asked for it. That level of personal touch is what distinguishes memorable experiences and garner customer loyalty. This is a hidden gem with so much potential! We left wishing we had stayed longer.
Great family owned place with several generations working together. Very friendly people always ready to help. The place is by no means new, but very cozy with its own charm. A bit of time travel and disconnect. Great nature around with multiple routes to explore. Variety of decent food at the restaurant. Cleaning is way better than in most hotels up to the 5* level we’ve been in recent years.
The Colombian couple who ran the hotel were fabulous, warm, friendly and helpful.
Overnight stay on motorcycles - covered parking. Location of hotel ensured security.
A lovely hotel in the hills with beautiful views.
