Charming guesthouse with stunning views. We loved sitting out on the balcony overlooking the square and having the church bells as our alarm clock. The communal lounge space is lovely and cosy and even had a fire when it got colder!

Very clean room, great location and there's a pool and a nice living area on the roof. Overall very satisfied with the hotel!
Walked from the main road up to the castle. Quite a steep walk and would be hard work in the hot summer months. Couple of lovely little squares in the old town with a few bars and restaurants. The old streets are full of character.

Boltana old town up the hill was lovely.
Boltana old town up the hill was lovely. The new town at bottom of hill was good. We were travelling through the pyrenees, this was a one night stay but sure there could be much more close that would make a longer stay worthwhile.

Self-checkin worked well received text message instructions all good. The room was clean, the bathroom also and a good working shower. Location brilliant write in the heart of the old town with two bars on your doorstep and lovely restaurants near by.
Parking a bit of an issue, probably depends on what time of year you stay. First night had to park at bottom of road and then had to drive around the old town to get back to front of house. Otherwise fantastic value for money.

The Monasterio Barcelo added 10% to our accommodation and meal charges and 21% to our Spa use fees. This amounted to over 65 euros extra to our bill for a two night stay, and we couldn’t even get a table at the restaurant. Parking charges are outrageous as the hotel is on the edge of a small village in the middle of the countryside.

Beautiful building and surroundings.
Beautiful building and surroundings. The room was luxurious with big bed and lots of space. Cooked breakfast available and good with fresh orange juice. Loved the outdoor cafe. Very friendly staff and service
We ate dinner at the two nearest restaurants (walking distance) and food was excellent
Good location with parking just back from the main road.
We struggled but did find somewhere to eat as there had been a running event in town (late May) and everywhere was booked up. Got back to the hotel and found that they were doing wood fired pizzas, looked great but we had already eaten by then - doh!
We walked up into the old town and on up to the castle, just as nice but much less touristy than Ainsa which we visited the next day as it is just down the road.
