The Lady in charge was so friendly and helpfull and her beautifull daughter would translate for us. I assumed (foolishly and ignorantly)that everyone would speak english. I really should have learnt some Spanish at least. Malpatida is a lovely little town, charming and very traditional, a complete get away from the normal day to day life. Surrounded by stunning countryside and farms. The white storks are brilliant to watch and are everywhere, the vultures and eagles soar above the village throughout the day. A great place for relaxing, birdwatching and to experience how the spanish live such a happy relaxed lifestyle.

Great location. Relatively dog friendly. They have an outside area for breakfast. Diversion signs are carefully placed so it's easy to access despite roadworks.
Large room with large, comfortable bed.
Really good car park.
Access to the old town is via a lift, which is v convenient.
