Brilliantly central with a room and mini balcony right opposite a very pretty church and tower right in the middle of town. The room was clean and the bathroom was a good size. The staff were helpful and friendly and spoke enough English for everything we needed. Also the parking was just 2 mins away and better value at €11 a day than other places. No hairdryer in the room was one was available at reception when I needed one. Very good value. Comfy bed.

An interesting old town with narrow streets, many churches and museums, scores of restaurants and tapas bars and a friendly atmosphere. Access to Granada and Ronda are easy by train or car. El Torcal is a very interesting trip into the mountains. A good central location for southern Andalucia

Lots of historical buildings and churches.
Lots of historical buildings and churches. The view from the castle at the top of the hill is worth the climb and the beautiful church. Plenty of eating places. We loved Loulu’s Bistro for breakfast opposite our hotel.

Friendly Pueblo Blanco town that’s easy to move through on foot or in car. It’s a central location to so much in Andalucía within 2-3 hours in a car, so you can spend a day in busy hectic Seville or Cordoba and sleep in peaceful Antequera.

Very friendly town.
Very friendly town. Recommend a guided tour to include the dolmens - we booked a combination tour of walking the town, visiting a chapel and a short ride in a 'micro bus' to the dolmens.
Buy cakes and pastries from a convent. Spend an evening in Bar Lola next to Plaza Coso Viejo for excellent food, friendly service and great atmosphere.
Antequera is an easy 45-minute drive from Málaga airport, so it's a great place to spend a couple of nights before heading off to explore Andalucía. Lots of free parking.

Antequera is a pretty town with a big church and castle. Also, you can visit dolmens (in the town) and El Torcal hiking area (nearby, some 20km maybe). The town seemed cozy during workdays and quite busy on Saturday with many people cruising the streets.

Antequera is a beautiful place with loads of churches and elaborate buildings. I could have done with another day here at least. I also never got to sample the food so I will definitely need to come back.
The typical Spanish town house, newly renovated, tastefully decorated, well-equipped and spacious is conveniently located between the Old Town and the Dolmens. We were warmly received by Carmen, our hostess, and communication was always excellent with her brother Moises. The rooftop terrace has lovely views of the Old Town and the patio is comfy in case of wind. We could bring our small dog which is often a problem when searching for accommodation in Antequera. Unloading and loading luggage can be a challenge because the street is a busy one.
the location was terrific. in the heart of Antequera, on a square that has tourist information, the city museum, church, cafe, and. restaurant. it’s walking distance to the Moorish fortress if you don’t mind climbing a hill.
It is a small older hotel with rooms around an inner courtyard. The room was simple, with a comfortable bed, spacious closet, nice, clean bathroom. Front desk staff were pleasant. There is secure parking adjacent to the hotel for €10 a day.
Hotel Castilla is an excellent choice for anyone visiting Antequera on a budget. Its prime location, clean and comfortable rooms, and friendly staff make it a standout option in its price range. I highly recommend it for travelers looking for great value in a central location. My stay from June 5th to June 8th was enjoyable and hassle-free, and I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Antequera.
Great location to explore Cordoba, Granada, Malaga, Ronda and Seville
Mostly 1 hour drives, Seville can be a bit longer
Nice size Pool, and great lounge space with a nice kitchen and diner. Outdoor dining also available
Bedrooms are all good size, and have a double bed in each. Showers are conveniently located between the bedrooms
Good privacy and perfect for families and or friends
Location in the hub of everything was fantastic. But morning traffic woke us at 6am. Hotel has a restaurante / cafe but the smell pervaded everywhere, which was a bit unpleasant. We realised late that we had no towels in our room so took one from the corridor - a member of staff chased us up the street accusing us of stealing the hotel towels from our room.. embarassing!
The place has a patio with a fountain and a fantastic view on Antequera alcazaba. It is very spacious, kitchen has anything you might need to cook. In addition they provide coffee, marmelade, the, for breakfast.
We really liked our stay. Antequera is beautiful.
Hotel allowed early entry as our train arrived at 10am! Very clean older family hotel with restaurant downstairs, very popular breakfast spot for locals...spacious corner room with large balcony...close to Mercadona market for wine n food n mini fridge.
Beautiful, brand new looking hotel in a very convenient location. Evening staff was wonderful and accommodating. Room was larger than many European hotel rooms and the bathroom was spacious and clean. Free parking was handy and just a short walk away.
location is perfect - in the town centre overlooking a quiet square; the hotel felt newly refurbished and the room was excellent with a nice spacious bathroom, easy to find a free parking space in the parking lot 3 mins walk away
Joaquín and the rest of the staff were very welcoming, polite, friendly and incredibly helpful. It was a fantastic experience staying here, I will no doubt look to book here again the next time I am in this part of Spain.
Overall the hotel was great and we would stay here again. Great staff, very nice facilities, comfortable bed. Location is fantastic. Shower has fantastic pressure. Very good value.
The hotel was in a beautiful location not far from Malaga. It was clean and comfortable with a great cafeteria (we were too late for the restaurant which I believe is great too).
Hotel in good location. Easy walk into the town. Room spacious, clean and what you expect from a Parador hotel. Evening meal in the Restaurant was very good as was the breakfast.
Best bang for the buck hotel. 30 minutes from Malaga, close to Antequera and El Torcal, Room was clean and ok, There's a bar open for breakfast and late night
Lovely clean apartment. Comfortable beds, good water pressure in shower(not always the case in Spain) Heating available and worked. Close to centre but quiet.
Just a very well run, good value Hotel, situated in the centre of the City, probably the best location in Antequera. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
