Such a beautiful hotel! Small, spotless, beautifully decorated, the kindest and most helpful staff. Everything from the bed to the big fluffy towels was perfect.

We loved everything about the hotel - from it's listed status, tasteful renovation and beautifully preserved floor tiles. It has the sweetest little roof patio and another larger area at the ground floor rear. The rooms and windows are wonderfully sound proofed. The staff, friendly, warm, welcoming yet quietly unobtrusive. The lobby snacks & drinks are quite sufficient, as the hotel is only one street away from the beach - a 2 minute walk to as many bars and restaurants as you will ever need. Highly recommended!

The hotel is perfect in every way. Spacious and spotlessly clean everywhere. Check in staff extremely helpful and informative. Our room was airy and cool with a luxuriously comfortable and enormous bed. Shower in bathroom was amazing.
The food was the best hotel food I have ever had. Totally spoiled for choice and very well cooked. The buffet was constantly topped up and food never ran out . Lots of sunloungers and umbrellas around the pool area as well as places to sit and eat or enjoy the excellent evening entertainment. The hotel has direct access to a private beach. An outside pool bar or inside more laid back type of bar were both well stocked and both had plenty of seating. Going back to our room, it was cleaned every day to a very high standard. Bedding and towels were excellent quality and the bathrobes a real treat. Generous sizes of both towels and robes. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough and to top it all parking was free. For those who want it there were plenty of international channels on TV including plenty of British ones. Pool towels provided along with tea and coffee making facilities.

Altea is a beautiful location with a classic white-washed mediterreanean "old town" and a lovely beach. It seems like a popular tourist destination, and restaurant and hotel staff are very helpful, friendly and gracious. Although many Spaniards eat dinner very late in the evening, I appreciated that Altea's restaurants are available to visitors seeking earlier meal times!

It's a nice town to visit if you are in Alicante and looking for a weekend break. The old town has character. Prices are more expensive than other places in Spain though and it seems to attract wealthier people. Avoid the over expensive restaurants near the top of the old town. Valor is a nice Spanish cafe for churros and coffee. Overall it's a nice spot.

Altea is a beautiful location rising above the coastline to the stunning Old Town. Plenty of restaurants to choose from both along the promenade and within the Old Town. Locals are very friendly and there is a reasonably good taxi service. Train runs from Denia to Benidorm at hourly intervals and is very reasonable.

Altea is absolutely stunning.
Altea is absolutely stunning. A lot of work has been done to support the seafront and they have done a magnificent job. The seafront is full of lovely bars and restaurants. The old town is whitewashed, rambling and vibrant. The shopping is great both mainstream and artisan. Altea is truly the jewel in the Costa Blanca’s crown.

Great place and now the Promenade has been totally renewed it is wonderful and lovely for walking on.
Has a great church and so picturesque and well worth the walk up to it with all the quaint streets of the Old Town.
Brilliant cafes and Bars and a very good choice and all tastes carered for.
Traditional hotel with comfortable rooms with small balconies looking out on the sea. Ideal location with (pebbly) Playa La Roda being just meters away, and walking distance to the old town. If you travel by car, parking can be a bit difficult in Altea: the fallback is the free car park on the northern side of the train station. The old town is up the hill, definitely worth for the views and lots of good restaurants.
This stay was in a fantastic location, with the beach and many restaurants a minute walk away. It was also close to Altea old town which has stunning views of the city and beautiful streets. Lucia was the perfect host, as she was very welcoming and responsive. The room was very comfortable and had all the facilities we needed and more e.g. beach towels and chairs. The free parking was also a huge bonus!
A great location in Altea Hills with a fantastic view on the coastline. The nicely decorated apartment is located on a private domain with a parking garage (high enough incl rooftopbox) and big swimming pool. We really enjoyed the comfort of the apartment which had everything you need and more. Very clean and qualitative. We really enjoyed the morning and evening view. A 5 star experience!
Absolutely lovely place. Right in the heart of the old town. Fantastic for parking and all free. Plenty of bars and restaurants close by in fact the restaurant and bar right next to Fornet Altea was wonderful.
Had a fantastic time and would highly recommend.
Very quite area and the Hostel was super clean. Well done .
Romantic, relaxing, amazing staff, comfortable bed, the room was perfect cozy and cute, every detail was taking care of. Definitely pay the extra for the spa, it was the perfect escape for my partner and I to relax together. Without a doubt one of the best hotels in Altea.
Very beautiful town to stay for some days and the hotel corresponds to expectations. El Hostal is just right between the Old town and the sea- front. To reach the church Nuestra Señiora del Consuelo you need to turn left going out the hotel and go upstairs 7 mins.
A great walkable location to get to the beach boardwalk 1 direction and to old town the other direction. We loved the unique mix of open home traditional front and rarely experienced cave back half. Photos accurately represent property. We loved it.
The locaties was excelent. In the old city next to the shops and the famous Church. The hotel was clean and quit with een nice pool with clean towels. De interior was very modern, cosy en it felt as a Nice place to stay.
Amazing beautiful spa hotel 5 stars with top class service, very clean, comfortable, and friendly personal.
I'm looking forward to back here again.
Hardly recommend anyone who will create unforgettable memories!
Villa Gadea is a good 5 star hotel, the pool and common areas are really nice. The staff was helpful (we arrived very late at 23:30h…), and they were able to accommodate a crib and room service at that hour.
Hotel Cap Negret…
fabulous hotel and staff … the location is great .. your right on the beach which is fabulous or you can relax by the pool … very close to the old town Altea so walking is a breeze ..
Great location by the beach + gorgeous balcony area out front of the hotel where you can sit+ watch the world go by! Altea is a lovely chilled town if you want a relaxing holiday.
Quirky and unusual but very nice small hotel. Very pleasant grounds with a swimming pool. Owners make you very welcome and provide an excellent breakfast. Free parking included.
It was charming. Not a typical “corporate” hotel. Great view of the sea (just across the street). Lots of space, comfy beds. Close to restaurants and bars.
Superb terrace to enjoy the Altea’s good weather, very close to the beach side promenade and shops area. Parking was very useful as not easy to park in Altea.
