A beautiful hilltop cortijo with incredible views for miles across olive groves and a lovely swimming pool (which was crucial in baking hot August days).
We loved the sense of tranquility - you barely hear a noise, apart from the odd cockerel crowing from from the valley. We also loved the sense of space, both in the cortijo and grounds itself and the surrounding countryside.
There’s a lovely large terrace, too, in front of all the apartments, where we enjoyed our breakfasts and dinners.
Nestled in the delightful Andalusian village of Priego de Córdoba, this boutique hotel has unique character thanks to each differently decorated bedroom and the Arabic Bath house.

The resident puppy and the shower. I don't want to leave a negative review because it's possible that COVID has had an impact & we stayed out of season. The restaurant wasn't open at all but as there were only 4 guests I don't think it was unreasonable. The air con looked brand new & it looked like the room had recently had new windows & been decorated. Top marks to housekeeping, the room & bathroom were spotless. Although the furniture was a bit 'retro' it didn't really bother us. The bedside lamp didn't work & a bulb in the main light needed replacing.
What was slightly weird was on Sunday there didn't seem to be anyone there at all - the bar wasn't open so we had to go out through the night entrance to get to our campervan to make a coffee in the morning. We didn't see anybody there until we left on Monday morning.
I'm sure in high season it is, or has been a popular hotel.
This hotel is set above the Andalusian town of Loja, less than an hour’s drive from Málaga and Granada. It features a terrace with panoramic views over the town and mountains.

Very clean, comfortable beds and rooms. We booked this hotel as an overnight stay traveling through Spain to Morocco. Based in a small town, nothing much to see or do in the immediate surroundings. Very calm and quiet. The hotel itself is small and lovely, rooms were very clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly - sometimes a bit difficult to communicate in English. Parking was available but only from 8PM onwards, which was not mentioned on their website anywhere, and was not free of charge. We were also charged extra for a crib. Breakfast was included but was not a buffet breakfast, rather a very simple a la carte arrangement. Simple but tasty. Overall we were happy with our stay.
Enjoying a stunning rural location beside a lake, this hotel is built in typical Andalusian style with a charming outdoor terrace, a refreshing swimming pool and a great restaurant

Lunch and dinner, room, cleaning, building, staff, pastoral surroundings
central and close to the town’s first class restaurant. The hotel is atmospheric and sympathetically furnished. The beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms are excellent. The front door of the hotel is only a few steps away from the local village bars
Lovely hotel in the centre of town. The bed was huge and very comfortable with lovey linen. The shower is powerful with plenty of hot water. The air con/heater warmed the room very quickly. This was our second stay and we’d happily recommend it.
