Adeje is very nice. great clean hotels. It's no noisy - but it has less nightlife than other areas perhaps.
The beaches are rocky coves with black sand or pebbles. Not a traditional big sandy sunbathing beach.
There are a few restaurants and shops, enough but it's not teeming with action. It has excellent bus/taxi and uber links to attractions and the most lively areas.
Adeje is a favourite area for me, some may prefer a more vibrant option.
Tenerife caters for both.

As a single mum travelling with two ASC children.
As a single mum travelling with two ASC children. We’ve been back to Costa Adeje so many times now. It is easy, familiar, safe & reasonably cheap. I have seen a difference this year though as in it is getting more expensive over there & busier. But Tenerife has so much to offer with Siam, Loro Parque, boat trips, great weather etc.

The hotel was Ok but I wouldn't go again especially with an elderly person struggling to move with knee issues. Resort dug into the side of an old volcano so pretty steep in places, they do have elevators but its not ideal. The a la cart dinners offered (3) for 7 days stay, were impossible to use and the booking system is very average. When we eventually got to book in, on arrival at the restaurant the staff were rude and told us our party of 7 could not sit together. Needless to say we didn't eat at restaurant. Pool was good but all sunbeds were gone by 8am even though not being used. (that system needs looking at). Overall OK, a long way to travel to from Oz for the experience.

Some areas are looking a little neglected & run down, with lots of empty shop fronts which is a shame.
But there are still some lovely areas, with some great restaurants & bars to meet everyone’s taste, and reasonably priced too!
We love to walk all the way along the promenade to El Duque beach area.
Great supermarkets & shops nearby & Siam park is also within walking distance.

Amazing beautiful and clean place but the main area feels like still a bit too touristy for our liking (the reason why we didnt choose to stay in Las Americas or Los Christianos) with too many restaurants catering for the international tourists taste instead of serving authentic local dishes along the promenade but the promenade along the sea coast is lovely and beautiful tho, perfect for a leisurely walk to enjoy the scenery, sunset or simply just people watching. The nature and outdoorsy activities are within easy drive and plenty of authentic restaurants around if you are willing to drive and venture outside of the touristy area.

Adeje is great in the sense that it is full of shopping malls, restaurants, nice beaches and everything you need is pretty near.
However, the area is overcrowded, for a holiday I would prefer a quieter area like Arona or staying at a resort. I thought initially Adeje would be better than Los Cristianos but that couldn't be further from the truth. Los Cristianos was much quieter than Adeje, there were a few events that happened while we stayed in Adeje that were disturbing.
Lovely hotel with great facilities, nice touch with the glass of fizz on arrival and lots of choice for breakfast. We upgraded to the star prestige which was worth it for the unlimited drinks and snacks. Service in the rooms was very attentive with 2 visits being made throughout the day with fresh towels. Excellent location, a lovely walk along the front, left to head down to Las Americas and right for further down towards Costa Adeje/Del Duque, lots of bars and restaurants along the way.
Absolutely beautiful apartment and staff were wonderful. I couldn't fault the place. It is extremely safe and private for families and even solo travellers. The garden is gorgeous day and night and the pool is only right up the steps and is not busy in comparison to a hotel pool. The locals are all very nice. It was my first time to tenerife with my son and it definitely won't be my last. Thank you all again so much it was a wonderful holiday and the staff made if even better.
Its personnel is extremely friendly and helpful, especially at the concierge desk. The hotel itself is quite dated compared to others five star hotels in Tenerife. If you can pay more for a stay in Gran Melia Palacio or the Ritz-Carlton Tenerife, your experience will be totally different. They are all five star hotels, but are in very different categories.
The hotel is set in a beautiful location up in the hills over looking the sea and within walking distance to shops and the main town of Costa Adeje. Our suite was spacious overlooking the sea & we could walk out of straight to the pool area.
The staff were so friendly and helpful, they made our stay home from home over the Xmas and new year.
Excellent, very attentive and obliging staff, very clean, wonderful apartments, great location. 6th stay at same hotel which should say it all. If you are going to Tenerife you need to stay in this hotel
