Breathtaking location, amazing beach, good restaurant, got there by small Kia Picanto, don't be afraid of comments about the gravel road, just follow the signs. Highly recommend for those who looking for Glamping experience in the Dominican Republic.

Warm & friendly, very atmospheric from walking through the front doors through to and including the rooms. Comfy and spacious rooms. Breakfast and dinner was freshly made from scratch, super delicious and worth every penny.

I didn’t like many things in this trip. 1) too far 2) people are not really sociable 3)they don’t take credit cards in many places, only cash, 4) service is awful, 5) the roads are really bad, etc. They need to work on this things in order to make this trip worthy.
Bahía de Las Águilas is gorgeous, is worth going once in a life time to just see it in person.

The drive down was pretty and very interesting. Make sure you to the Laguna Ovieda boat tour - even if you've seen iguanas and flamingos before. The short tour was enough for us - 2800 pesos with park entrance. Also the turtles can be watched laying their eggs in season - call ahead for the best day(s) to go.

Went to Bahia de las Aguilas via boat and the beach is pristine and beautiful. We went early in the morning and we were the only people on the beach, it was a perfect trip.
Also must visit the Jaragua National Park. We did the boat tour of the lake and had close encounters with the flamingoes.
Perdernales had billions of butterflies EVERYWHERE, it was incredible, even at the beach they were fluttering over our heads while we swam, it was quite magical!
