We live on a boat, so having an A/C in the room was FANTASTIC! We didn't stay in the room much except to shower and sleep, so it was exactly what we needed for a short get-away.

Roberto is a kind of guy who is nice just because he really is, not because it is avised to be. He took care of us very much and gave us a bigger apartment with no additional cost. Thank you!
The property is less than one-minute walk from the beach and 30 seconds from a shop and restaurants.

Rustic House is located in the centre of Punta Rucia. Very large living areas with bathroom and kitchen. in our apartment could stay at least 8 to 12 people. Nothing was missing. Everything was very clean and also very quiet. The staff was always very helpful and hardworking. The kindness of everyone working there was amazing. Breakfast was prepared every day with love. The owner, Robert, is a real buddy type. Very helpful, with very good English. We spent 5 days there, and would recommend this wonderful hotel to anyone. If we should come back to Punta rucia at some point, then there is only one choice. At robert you can also book a boat trip to the small Cayo Arena, which we can highly recommend. The price performance ratio is absolutely in line here. Many greetings go to Robert, Nori, Kathrin, Tito (El Capitano) Alexander, and the whole team from the Rustic House. Finally, a small recommendation from us for dinner. A little a minute from the hotel is the cozy restaurant with the names,,damaris,, there you can eat very cheap and very good.
Offering an outdoor pool and a restaurant, Villa Rosa faces the turquoise water of Punta Rucia, just 4 minutes’ drive from La Ensenada Beach. Free Wi-Fi access is available.

Janine was an extremely nice host! The room was spacious and very cute - we loved the canopy beds with the mosquito nets. The bathroom was also very nice. The best thing about the house was it's location, just on the other side of the road from the beach and just next to plenty of restaurants and bars (Punta Rucia style of course, nothing too fancy).
The breakfasts at the beach were very good.
With sea views, Tropic ecolodge is set in Punta Rucia and has a restaurant, a shared lounge, bar, garden, outdoor pool and terrace. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge.

Location! Location! Location… and Janine!!
In front of the beach, in a small village. Not touristic at all. The room is on the first floor with a full view on a beautiful and secluded sandy beach, from the 6 windows. It is huge and nicely furnished. We also loved that the bathroom was outside and that we could take our breakfast and dinner directly on the beach. As if the whole beach was ours.
And there is… Janine who brings the whole stay to the next level. She is lovely, always with a smile, will gladly book your trip to Cayo arena (a must!) and, if you ask her, she will tell you all about the local life (which she knows for sure, she has been here for more than 8 years and has been managing Tropic ecolodge and Villa Rosa for 5 years!). We learnt so much. And she prepares amazing cocktails too! As for the dinner, we had very tasty fish, lambis, prepared by the small restaurant next door and brought directly to our table on the beach (to be paid directly to the restaurant).
Overall a small hidden paradise and you almost feel you are part of the local life too. Stay at least two nights… or more.
