The room was comfortable and functional. As a single person there for work is was perfectly acceptable. There was also a huge amount of space around the reception area either to work or relax.
Pool and sauna were a fantastic option to have after a busy day.

A wonderful Danish Scandic hotel and a quiet area with a free parking area for cars and buses. The staff were happy Danes and the breakfast was rated 11/10. That is, the best breakfast ever in Scandic hotels, because the breakfast had small hot veggie portions in glass jars. Great idea! Tack and Thank you!

Checkin after 17:00h is with a code (SMS sent) at the door. But the instructions to enter the house are clear.
The room is simple but clean and had everything I need as a bicycle traveller.
My bicycle could be brought into the house (provided is was clean), so it was safe during the night.

There was a great restaurant across the square from the hotel, next to the station building. The Pizza was especially good.
There was free parking in the station carpark around 100m away from the hotel and what looked like a number of other free parking opportunities in the area.

Lovely little town with a variety of old buildings, small streets, lovely park areas and good choices of food outlets. Ate at the Ristorante Fratelli across the street from the hotel. Excellent ! ! Easy to walk around to town.

Kolding was a bit of a mixed bag.
Kolding was a bit of a mixed bag. We stayed for 2 nights and used it as a base to travel to Legoland and other parts of Jutland. The drive into Kolding was slow due to traffic, and finding parking next to the hotel was tricky with the different duration rules, but then settled on parking in the hotel itself. In the evening, around 7ish, the area around the castle felt very quiet, too quiet. There were restaurants open but it did not feel lively, though this may have been because it was mid April.
A nice stop was at the StorCentre shopping centre. Plenty more people here, lots of shops and lots of food opens. Restaurants seem to stay open longer here than the rest of denmark in general.
All in all not a bad stay, definitely needed more time to explore.

Beautiful Town near the coast, (Little Belt) with a lake.
Beautiful Town near the coast, (Little Belt) with a lake. Good starting point for a daytrip to other sights in Denmark such as Ribe (viking town), Legoland (less then 1 hour drive), Kopenhagen (2.5 hours), Bogense (50 mins).
Only a view minutes from the lake you have several sushi bars, pizza takeaways, thai restaurant, fine dining, supermarket and a passage with pubs. There is also a wonderful botanical garden with petting zoo (goats), rose garden and a miniture of the town of Kolding to walk through.

Kolding is a nice town with a good history.
Kolding is a nice town with a good history. The viking castle in the middle of the town is obviously a main attraction, but if you look further you'll find a toy-museum downtown, and if you venture a little outside of the center, you'll find the Trapholt museum, which is very modern and progressive. Kolding also has an amazing graffiti-culture which really shines when you walk around downtown.
If you're looking for lunch, go to either Tobber's or The Mokka Café, and if you rather fancy a burger the only place you need to go is the Burger Spot.
If you're looking for dinner, you can have dinner at the restaurant in the viking castle. It's one of the best restaurants in Kolding. A bit pricey, but worth it. Otherwise, downtown you'll find Rafael's Ristorante, and if you're not in the mood for Italian, you can skip down to Hereford Beefstouw.
If you want to hit the town for a beer in the evening, there are three quality places to look for. If you're looking for the young crowd you need to go to Knud's Garage. For a more adult crowd seek out the You'll Never Walk Alone pub (this is also the place to go if you're looking for a sports-pub). Finally, if you're more of a nightclub kinda person, Pitstop is the best in Kolding.
The location is rather good, a good 15 minutes walk to the center, which proved necessary inasmuch when we entered the hotel restaurant where we had placed a reservation we were escorted to the bar by a waiter who said that only guest on a full board can have dinner there. The bar menu was fixed, not a-la-carte thus we left.
Swimming pool big with a good sauna, the most positive part of our stay.
The hostel is next to a small park on top of a hill (rare in Denmark) The view over Kolding was beautiful and the hike up the hill was relaxing. Room was clean and cozy. I was a little surprised that you needed to pay separately for linen and towels. I never encountered that on a Booking trip before. Keep that in mind when you stay with them.
The public kitchen was nice too.
Super welcome and advise from Lysbeth.
Possibility to heaten simple dinner for tired children.
Comfortable beds.
Super location close to the station and bus terminal with bus 166 to Billund and Legoland.
Kolding is à nice city with charming streets and an interresting Castle to visit.
Nothing was too much trouble, Staff were always willing to help. We got married in Kolding and on our return to the hotel after the ceremony the Staff had made hearts from towels on our bed.
Great breakfast.
Location is excellent for the train station and access to the town centre.
Nice hotel near the highway. There is a big parking lot where you can park for free, you just have to register your plate number in the hotel. The room was not very big, but nice and clean. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast was rich and delicious.
Just as a place to stop for a night going thru Denmark, perfect. App based access, you make your own bed, no breakfast - but fair value for money, and clean and simple solution for a night of sleep.
Location is very good close to the castle and a nice view of the lake. The style of the apartments is to my liking - modern, limited color palette, big windows, french balconies to every direction.
Great location, incredible staff who couldn’t do enough for us much appreciated, food in the stay cafe was 10/10 every time we ate there. Highly recommend the penthouse and the stay restaurant
Nice hotel just outside Kolding. Nice garden and area for the dog. Friendly owner. Additional breakfast was okay, but fresh. Appartment in the main building is very large and spacious.
The parking is OK, and the breakfast was not too bad, although there was not enough room for everyone to sit (and the restaurant next door has plenty of space but was not allowed).
Very good central location, lots of restaurants nearby. Breakfast - just one word -AMAZING. Check in to the breakfast maybe a bit inconvenient but ok and undestandable.
The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff was extremely warm and friendly 😀 Awesome breakfast! Very good location, super close to Kolding Central Station.
The hotel is located at the very beautiful Kolding Fjord. It is right next to the water edge and excellent for a great walk and zipping a drink on the terrace.
This hotel is very good, we will definetly stay there again.
Good beds, clean room, spacy and I liked the breakfast :)
