We found everything calm and quiet; the bathroom was spacious, the beds comfortable and breakfast excellent. However, the main draw here is really the host, an amazing gentlemen with many stories to tell and the most peculiar affection for birds. We were lucky indeed to hear him play the violin for us (he was at some point a professional violinist) and, unexpectedly, even spotted one of his favorite birds!
Guests have their own entrance, as well as a private bedroom and bathroom. However, these are adjacent the living room (which guests are welcome to use) and the host lives in the other half of the house. This is a far more personal experience than you would get in some professionally-run hotel. My wife and I consider this an advantage, but it is probably a good idea to know what to expect.
Klitmoller is a very quiet town, at least in spring when we were there. We had chosen the place to relax for a few days during our cycling trip and camping, and it was a perfect place to do so. The kitchen was big enough to use, 2 bathrooms to use, a relaxing outdoor area and a small yoga room which was perfect to start/end the day. The beds were really comfortable and Noah didn't mind us hanging around the place to get some online work done. Friendly people, nice location and cool house, would recommend!
It was a very special stay. We got the Nationalpark Suite, which is decorated very beautifully. The restaurant of the hotel has a magnificant view on the beach and the sea. The breakfast was really good with a lot of choice. The owner was really kind and helpfull to find spots to visit for example. We totally recommand the hotel to stay at Cold Hawaii.
Peter was very welcoming and helpful with any queries we had. The place had a friendly and warm atmosphere and we would be very happy to visit again in the future. It’s very close to the sea and amenities. I can highly recommend staying at Viking surf house!
The location was perfect. So close to the beach. The rooms were big and unique. The breakfast was very good with lots of choice and tones of fresh fruit which our toddler loved.
