I really enjoyed the stay at this hotel. I had this amazing room that overlooked the market with so much light. It was quiet, even if it overlooked the market. The shower was perfect both in speed and hotness of water. The room was clean. I would have appreciated a better quality wifi, but it is what it is. The breakfast was ok, i loved that i could have it outside. I would have appreciated some fresh vegetables and some fruit. But all it all it was ok, maybe a tad expensive tho.

Pirna is an ideal base if you want to explore Saxon Switzerland. The Old Town is compact but very lovely. It has very tranquil ambiance, which suits travelers seeking a peaceful getaway. For the people to love old architecture, Pirna is a gem as it is completely unspoiled with modern concrete monsters. There are many great restaurants and cafes within the Old Town, though most close quite early. From Pirna, it only takes within less than 1 hour to get to Bastei, Bad Schandau or other smaller towns.
We had a very enjoyable experience in this apartment. It was clean, quiet, warm, comfortable, well equipped and located. In fact, I have not had a better bed on my travels. I would happily have stayed much longer than the 5 days I was there as the city of Pirna has a lot to offer. It is only a 20 minute train ride to Dresden and only 20 minutes to Bad Schandau and the Saxon Switzerland national park. The owners were very attentive to our needs. Wifi worked well. I recommend this apartment highly

Continental breakfast was fantastic. Lots of choice of meats, breads, and cheeses. We were in a top room, which was uncarpeted and had sloped ceilings. It was charming, but I would have preferred a room on a lower floor as we hit our head a few times on the ceiling. About 40 minute drive to Dresden. Free parking available on-site, but it is limited. Stay comes with a guest card for Pirna - local transporation and discounts to attractions like the Wagner museum.
Everything was great. The hotel is located in a very convenient place very close to the historical center, the railway station and the Elbe River. The building and rooms fully fit the hotel's name and look very romantic, with old-fashioned but well-preserved furniture, carpets and wall pictures. The breakfast was very delicious and diverse. Staff was very friendly and helpful, speaking good English. The Internet was good.
Nice and cozy apartment close to Pirna city center and main roads. The location is great if you want to explore natural beauties around. There is a lot of parking options available nearby, including e-car charging spots. The store is close if you need to buy something.
The hosts are really great and despite that we did a small mistake with the booking, they came forward and helped us even though it was a holiday.
Breakfast was excellent, nice variety - fruits, eggs, yogurt, coffee, tea, great bread.
The walk into the old town was easy, maybe 10 or 15 minutes, and the town of Pirna seemed very safe, even at night walking to a restaurant for take-out.
The train station had regular trains running into Dresden and down to other stations on the Elbe. Likewise, the bus service was regular and timely.
Even though I really hated climbing all those stairs, this cozy apartment was totally worth it! It made my trip in Saxon Switzerland a blast! Located in the heart of Pirna, it is just a short walk to the train station, supermarket and eateries. Loved the balcony, I had breakfast there everyday. The skylight right above the bed is awesome too, I literally fell as sleep watching the stars!

It is not a fancy apartment, but still very comfortable.
Cafe and Biergarten right outside. It is a few minutes walk downhill to the marketplace, where there is a really good breakfast restaurant Canaletto, this is highly recommended.
Overall we had a nice time here, so that is why the good points.

Nice quiet location not so far from Pirna train station (25 minutes of walking). The room was big and clean. The hosts are nice and super friendly. There is a small pool, but unfortunately, the weather was not so hot to try it out. I believe it would be perfect in the evening after a long day of hiking.
It's hard to find a space for 3 families with 12 people in total and Villa Schmidt has it at excellent value. Parking is available for free. it's clean and there is enough space for everyone to sit around a table. 5 minutes walk to Pirna station
Cool decor and a wide range of sporting activities both in and near to the hotel. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The bedrooms were very spacious and comfortable with a verandah. The food and drink was all excellent.
Nice clean room, nice breakfast (maybe not exceptional, but what did you expect?), nice choice of traditional meals, beer, and wine in the hotel restaurant, which serves 5-10 pm (kitchen closes at 9 pm).
