Breakfast was surprisingly good. Especially after staying in a tiny room, and an elevator that was out of commission. Lugged the luggage up the stairs. The bathroom was better than the rest of the room.

The very friendly man who checked us in. The bed was comfortable, if a little on the small side. The breakfast was very good and worth the extra cost.

Known as the City of Three Rivers, Passau is a beautiful German town in Lower Bavaria crossed by the Danube, Ilz and Inn rivers. Situated near the Austrian border, this university city is home to the biggest cathedral organ in the world with 17,774 pipes and 233 registers.
Built in 1688 by the Italian architect Carlo Lurago, the Baroque St. Stephen's Cathedral has frescoes and paintings by JM Rottmayr. Featuring classic European architecture, the historic Old Town of Passau has small cobbled alleys with picturesque Bavarian cafes and restaurants, as well as a Neo-Gothic tower. You can enjoy a cruise on the Danube River or wonder around the medieval houses that are modified into galleries.
Set between the Danube and Ilz, the 13th-century Castle of Passau was the bishops’ residence for several centuries. Travellers can visit the fortress of Oberhaus and discover interesting museums with potteries, sculptures and paintings.
The Austrian city of Salzburg is about 110 km and Linz Airport is 64.5 km away. Booking.com offers a variety of hotels and guest houses in Passau and the nearby cities of Salzweg, Thyrnau and Kellberg. The Central Railway Station of Passau has trains to Vienna, Budapest, Amsterdam and London.

Passau is a beautiful town where the Donau River joins the other two rivers. It is also the starting point for many Donay cruises. Walking around the town, visiting the Castle, or just strolling around the river walks was an amazingly relaxing experience. We arrived and departed by train, and the station is 10 minutes walking from the city center. It was the place where our river cruise started and ended, and we chose to prolong our stay in town for two nights. We recommend dining early since most of the restaurants will close. For lunch everything is open, but finding a restaurant for dinner might be a struggle. I recommend the restaurant at StadHotel Passau, it is open from breakfast to dinner and they serve typical Bavarian food.

Amazing. Great. Unbelievable. Great evening/night life. Many restaurants outside in beautiful streets. Some streets are so tiny that it is scary to walk them but I loved it. The meeting of the rivers is beautiful. Also I recommend taking a boat trip to
Linz(5hrs).

Passau has an enviable location at the confluence of three rivers. Most of the public architecture is baroque or rococo. The old town has a good vibe, helped by the presence of tourists and students from the local university. It’s a great place to stroll, with several excursion possibilities.

I have always wanted to see Passau.
I have always wanted to see Passau. We stayed there for three days. I woudl reccomend to climb up Mariahilf for a beautiful view of the old town. It is a perfect place for taking photoes. We had excellent white sausages inthe pub just across the street. Thank to the location of Helen's flat, we had all the main sights within 30 minutes, apart from West Oberhaus and the Mariahilf, of course.
The self check-in went absolutely flawlessly and totally easy. This was the one thing I was worried about, but it worked out very nicely. Also, for a hotel that has no reception, it is amazing how clean everything was!
Location is nicely between train station and historic city center - all at easy walking distance.
There are so many awesome cafes in walking distance that a breakfast at the hotel was not only not needed but actually not wanted by us.
This is a hotel with an excellent location in the city center. We stayed in the room 10 which is a 4 bedroom apartment with private EXTERNAL bathroom, that I somehow missed to read :) of course the blame is on me, but we were a bit surprised when we entered the room and it turned out that the bathroom is at the end of the corridor. Otherwise, the room was nice and beds were very comfortable.
It's one of our favourite hotels lately. We get a spacious suite where our teenage daughter can sleep in a separate room. There is air conditioning, which is rare in Germany. The kitchen is well equipped. The bed mattress is comfy hard, just the way we like it. The pillows are soft, just how we like it. Parking is not overpriced. Close to the city centre. Dogs are allowed. Clean.
This is a wonderful hotel in a beutiful location!
Very, very kind and helpful staff, fully equipped, beautiful and very clean rooms, the breakfast is rich and varied, the additional free services (e.g. fitness) is perfect, and do not forget, this hotel has a privat parking garage in the heart of Passau, which is rare in the city center.
I heartily recommend it to everyone!
It was our second stay at Boutique Hotel Morgentau and like the first time, we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is centrally located, but in a quiet street. The rooms are tastefully furnished and well equipped. Beds are comfy. Definitely our go-to place in Passau, we would definitely come back, despite the minor inconveniences mentioned below.
The location was really good. It was near the main train station, and you could easily reach the city or use the bus near the hotel. The room was clean and quiet, and it had a well-equipped kitchen. There was also some tea and coffee there to drink.
Location: at walking distance from the city centre of Passau.
The provided "sound blocking earbuds" are a poor omen.... however, with closed windows, and the fan running, the room was surprisinhly quiet, and not too hot.
A good breakfast is served.
The staff was excellent, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The room was spacious, with a electric outlet on each side of the bed. The hotel is well located in Passau, in pedestrian area, with lots of shops and restaurants.
Excellent location. Despite the floods which affected other hotels in Passau, Premier Inn remained unaffected. Pre-arrival emails were sent by the hotel to ask about need for early check-in/ late check-out etc.
Very nice place to enjoy Passau. It is just 10 minutes walk to old town (Altstadt). This is really perfect. Accomodation is spacious, well equipment. View from window and small balcony is fantastic.
The apartment was very spacious and very clean. The center of Passau was a very shirt walk across the bridge. There is a large television with Netflix and the bed was very comfortable!
Excellent location for visiting Passau and cycling the rivers Danube & Inns. The Hotel was everything we expected and needed, would definitely stay here again if visiting local area.
The hotel is modern and the location is perfect! In front of the main central station. The hotel is also clean and quiet. Very comfortable. I recommend this hotel !
Very conveniently located and the entire hotel is very cute. Parking was available and we arrived late in the evening but were able to have a seamless check in.
