Great location, easy acces by car and free (limited) parking spots available. Our room was on 2th floor, accessible by stairs or elevator. Was clean and decent. The breakfast was great too, maybe a little basic, but it has everything you need. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Some do also speak English. Overall great stay, good price, and everything was hygienic. Would definitely recommend

Cozy and spacious apartment 3 minutes walk from the historic center of Oberwesel. Fantastically located in the heart of the absolutely beautiful mittelrhein area. A very comfortable base for exploration. Highly recommended.
The excellent stage 10 of the RheinBurgenWeg passes right by the house. We hiked a few hours to Sankt Goar, the next village down the river and came back by train.
The owners are a super friendly family who made themselves available to help. We forgot something valuable at the apartment when we left. The owner went to the trouble of finding it for us and mailinig it back. Highly appreciated!

Christian was a very friendly and helpful host, with a good sense of humour. He and Marcel have a fabulous garden which they work very hard at, and of which they are justifiably very proud. Thank you for taking the time to show us round.
The property was spacious and beautifully presented.
This is our second time to stay at the castle. You can not imagine how nice it was to bring our granddaughter and her husband with us. What a wonderful stay . Meals were excellent, the veranda seating was outstanding, food was so perfectly done and the staff was way beyond excellent. We asked for some changes in our menu and the senior waiter was on top of everything! We are old but if we could we will come again!

We really enjoyed the medieval feel of the town.
We really enjoyed the medieval feel of the town. They were preparing for a medieval festival while we were there. We wished we could have visited one of the wine restaurants, but they were closed until almost dinner time, and we had reservations at the Schoenberg castle restaurant (which also offered wonderful wines!)

Oberwesel has all the features of a typical historical town...
Oberwesel has all the features of a typical historical town along the Rhine river, but it is less busy than nearby Bacharach or Sankt Goar. The town itself could do with some more restaurants and cafés. The scenery is woinderful, with excellent hiking and walking trails (towards the Loreley, or towards Bacharach). If you look for a really quite place to stay, the villages in the hills above Oberwesel may be a good choice.

Oberwesel is a relatively small town in a great situation on the Rhine. It has a selection of shops for all essentials including a Lidl and Rewe and touristy ones. It also has a selection of cafes and restaurants and easy access to other locations which widen the choice further. One of many towns and villages in the Rhine valley and wine region that are well worth visiting,

Oberwesel is a lovely old place with lots of places to visit...
Oberwesel is a lovely old place with lots of places to visit. The castle on top of the hill is fantastic with a big view. There are lots of old buildings and part of the town wall is still standing. On some parts of it you can walk on top. In another area there are still towers in it. On the river Rhine which has a walk and cycle path along it in both directions.
This five-generation old hotel is clearly an institution in this area and they deserve the fine reputation that they enjoy. Our stay was wonderful; the room was clean and comfortable, the guests were all happy (which made us happy), and the general atmosphere was friendly and convivial. Breakfast was outstanding with good quality food being served. We also had two very good dinners at the hotel, which I would rate as the best we have eaten at in our one-month holiday. Great location with lots of wonderful walks and trails nearby.
We loved everything about this hotel! We were greeted by the hotel owner Paul who’s family has owned this estate for over 6 generations! The value for what you receive is incredible!Their restaurant, hotel and wine from their vineyards is absolutely amazing! Their restaurants 5 star rating is very deserving with their dinners and generous breakfast. The rooms are huge with comfortable beds, nice furniture, a great shower and large spa tub. The windows up to a cool summer breeze and meals can be enjoyed outside on their patio.
This place is so awesome. We loved staying here and will totally come back. The hosts are SO NICE. We got lost at the station and they came to pick us up! The place itself is totally beautiful and wonderful for a relaxing time and also to explore Oberwesel. We came in the winter and used it as a break between traveling to chill. It was fantastic. I would love to return in the summer. Great place!!
This was an amazing little find. Praveen at the front desk could not have been nicer. He assisted in taking our luggage up and made sure everything was perfect. He also was a great at the charming morning breakfast. The hotel location is great and the view was awesome. Room was very big as we had three staying in the room. The space was very nice and tha bathroom was huge for Germany.
We stayed in the large loft apartment which had two bedrooms, a very nice living room /dining room, a reasonably-sized kitchen and a bathroom.
We were met by a friend of the owner who lived nearby, in order to get the keys.
The property is located in the lovely historical Old Town of Oberwesel. Great points: location! location! location!
Very large apartment; beds were comfortable, which is a rare find in Germany. Good communication despite a language barrier. Hosts were very accommodating and went out of the way to prepare extra amenities for our kids. We were able to park down the street without any problems. We only wish we could have stayed longer!
Quiet location, pleasant atmosphere, traditional furnishing that is well kept and very respectable. Excellent and very generous breakfast! A short 5 minute walk takes you to Oberwesel where you can view so much by day and enjoy good food by night. Excellent meals also available at the Gutsschanke.
Lovely light ,airy spacious room with modern bathroom. We paid for a room with a balcony which looked over gardens and a stream at the side. It was close to the river and had parking. The restaurant was in a lovely garden behind the hotel and served delicious food, though rather pricey.
Liked the old German decor and feel. We were a group of 5 seniors cycling along the Rhine. Walked the old town walls & along the river after dinner. Delicious Thai food in the hotel restaurant, and breakfast laid out in Victorian atmosphere.
It was absolutely magical! The staff were professional and really helpful. I had one of the smallest rooms (if not the smallest), but it was a wonderful experience that served as the grand finale of my trip to Germany!
New appartment in the heart of Oberwesel, nicely decorated, with enough space for three or four persons. Better than the photos. Very friendly host, with good communication. Private parking space about 200 metres away.
This castle / hotel / restaurant is truly one of the great places to stay in the world. The views of the Rhine, the amazing food, the top quality service make this one of our most memorable stays in a long while.
We have stayed here multiple times and each visit is a 5 star experience. The hotel is a bonafide Castel and the entire experience is like going back in time- but with all of the modern amenities and luxuries.
Very nice accommodation in a small town Dellhoven close to Oberwesel and the Rhine. Check-in went nice and quick with very friendly and helpful staff. The room and bathroom are very clean, neat, and good size.
Absolutely magical. A complete fairytale experience. The staff was extremely kind and dedicated to making the whole experience relaxing and wonderful. Best part of our Germany trip.
