We booked this hotel because it is only a 6 minutes car ride from the Emil Nolde museum and adjacent gardens that we visited that afternoon.
After dinner we drove the car in the area and drove to the seaside where we parked the car. Through a gate we could enter an area along the sea-dike that is a Unesco nature reserve. It was a beautiful sunset. On the way back we saw a deer in a corn field and later some rabbits running around in a grass field. Lovely nature in this area.
One of my go-to places to stay when I travel to/from Germany by car, it is located in a very calm village while still near the border, not much of a detour if one crosses thru Denmark an much better and cheaper than a lot of other hotels in this part, also features a excellent on-site restaurant with again decent prices and very good food, great breakfast in the morning as well, rooms are nice and comfortable while not very modern
After crossing Denmark by bike and being constantly shocked at the prices, this hotel and restaurant was dream for the budget conscious traveller. The room was very nice, quiet, and clean. The restaurant offers delicious and copious food for very reasonable prices. The staff was friendly, and the hotel is just around the corner for the Emil Nolde museum. Certainly worth a trip. I can highly recommend this hotel.
The hotel is located at the edge of the village of Neukirchen. We had a room in the annex which served its purpose well. The breakfast was extensive. We also had dinner in the restaurant which was hearty north German fare. I would stay there again.
Excellent hotel, staff happy to let us park motorcycle in garage. Restaurant was really busy and given the quality of good served I am not surprised. Excellent quality and a good price.
The hotel is very nice. Someone smiling at you when you arrive is a plus. Comfortable room. Very good food in the restaurant. The breakfast without being buffet style also very complete.
