The breakfast was really fantastic with fresh homemade smoothies and cake, bread fresh out of the oven and a machine for a personal piece of cold butter! The rooms were very spacious for a standard room. It's nice that there is a fine restaurant so you don't have to go out again after a day of travelling or a day of sightseeing Leipzig.

Famous for its history and exceptional architecture, Leipzig is an important city of commerce and culture. Called a “Little Paris” and home to many great composers and poets, this city has something for everyone’s taste.
Its streets hide a lot of secrets so keep your eyes open for unique passages, the most famous of which, Mädlerpassage, is filled with upscale shops and bars. For a breath of culture, visit the houses of Mendelssohn, Schumman or most famous of them all, JS Bach, whose remains are buried in St. Thomas Church, where he worked until his death.
Leipzig’s architectural styles are best seen in person so don’t miss the Plagwitz (an old industrial district), the Rundling inter-war housing estates built in concentric circles, or the stunning Renaissance Old Town Hall - a truly iconic landmark.
For those tired of the hustle of the city, there are several lakes with beaches and watersports surrounding the city. A green belt of parks and woods also crosses Leipzig and gives some breathing space.
From Leipzig/Halle Airport all the city’s attractions are just a short ride away. Whether you’re looking for a stunning hotel, a friendly guest house or a budget hostel, Booking.com has the perfect accommodation for your Leipzig trip.

I go to Leipzig for the goth festival (Wave Gotik Treffen), but it is a lovely city and I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to visit a German city. There are green areas but also plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants. Some of the buildings are really beautiful and it would be perfect for a relaxed city break.

Lovely historic city with plenty to see and do.
Lovely historic city with plenty to see and do. Worth going on the bus tour to see bits that aren't in the centre. Good shopping and restaurants. Great transport - we went to an evening concert in Haus Auensee to the north of the city and it was easy to get there and, more importantly, back using public transport.

People in shops and cafes are very friendly and happy to help. There are a lot of cultural things to see and do, theatre, opera, music, old buildings, museums or you could just walk around and marvel at the beautiful town. Loads of shops, pubs, cafe's and restaurants, as well.

So much history, the museum in the old town hall was really interesting. Napoleonic history with the Battle of Nations (from 1813) memorial a treat and worth taking the City Tour Bus for.
There is plenty of other history with JS Bach, Mendelsshon and Schumann all having links here.
Post war East German State has left its mark with interesting Stalinist architecture and the Stasi Museum also very interesting. The 1989 protests against the East German state started at the St Nicholas Church.
Post reunification has also been positive for Leipzig with a vibrant cultural and architectural legacy. Also the home of Red Bull Leipzig football club in a fantastic modern stadium. A great city to visit.

I can now say Leipzig is among my top 3 German cities - definitely coming back one day! Beats Cologne and Berlin by miles. The locals are very friendly and sure the city has got soul. A single adult zoo ticket costs 22€, it is so worth it though - make sure you can spend 4 if not 5 hours there!
The apartment was very well stocked, beyond the normal items you would expect. We received a travel cot, high chair and even potty for our daughter. We didn't miss anything. The location is good, around a 10 minute walk from Leipzig Hauptbahnhof, very good access to trams around the corner. Easy walk to grocery stores, bakery etc. Good quality detergent for the washing machine was supplied. The apartment was spotless and we felt very comfortable with a 10 month old baby crawling around everywhere.
We paid extra for a premium room and had room 722 on the top floor. It was fully equipped and had a great view of the Gewandhaus and the plaza and the city. The even-numbered rooms on the seventh floor have this view. It’s worth the money. The hotel’s car park is very convenient but costs €24 per day, which is probably not surprising for the center of Leipzig. The Gewandhaus is a three-minute walk, perfect for going to a concert. The breakfast was good with a large selection.
Hotel is easy walk from main train station. A grocery store conveniently across the street and many restaurants and shops within walking distance. Historic Old Town was close and very convenient to get to. Hotel front desk staff spoke English and were helpful in choosing restaurants and how to get to other areas of Leipzig by tram. Room was clean and a generous size, elevator available, and coffee bar/ club bar in lobby. Also, hotel supplied extra pillows per my request.
I liked the fact that they had a parking space which wasn't too expensive (I later pn found out that parking wasn't a problem in Leipzig and that there is a lot of free parking space). The staff was nice - not too attentive but okay. Our room was positioned away from the street which made it quite and comfortable. The location was close to the center of the coty and easy to reach with public transport. Plus, right underneath the hotel were supermarkets!
I used this hotel twice in May, once when I arrived late in the evening and a 2nd time whe I had an early departure from Leipzig airport.
The hotel is right next to the airport and as such it's great. The rooms are decent size and comfortable. The beds are comfortable too.
The location was suprisingly quiet at night, despite the fact is located next to the airport and a busy motorway.
In the morning the hotel offers a very nice breakast buffet.
Hotel is located nearby the main train station (3 minutes walk) and very close to the city center. To get to the messe, it's less than 30 minute from the hotel by either tram 16 or bus 196. There were plenty of choices for the breakfast. They made some efforts to provide different selections so guests like us staying for four nights didn't get tired of it. The room was very comfortable, clean and spacious.
Great thing was that I could make myself coffee and tee during all Day until 20,00 for free, and I payed only bed & breakfast. I loved moments when I was able to make myself great espresso and drink it on the top of the hotel in fresh air.
Staff was great and friendly, recommended us where we can eat near hotel and in that part of town. I will definitly stay there next time I visit Leipzig.
It is stylishly modern in an old world building. Our room was very comfy and spacious. Staff were kind and helpful. Breakfast delicious and served in a beautiful room. The hotel is steps from the main square and many sites. We liked what we saw in Leipzig and loved coming back to our hotel after the day out.
The hotel is well located and easy to find. The staff was very kind and helpful, both at the reception and on the phone. The family room, which we booked, was nice and spacious, with a large balcony overlooking the street. The room was quiet and air conditioning worked great.
My kids loved the suite, so did I, the design is beautiful! Plenty of space, cool features!
The staff was very friendly as usual, the breakfast was very good as usual (it was my 3rd time in Amedia Leipzig). I do recommend this hotel.
Pentahotels never disappoint. I wish there would be more Pentahotels in Europe.
Huge rooms and an extraordinary breakfast. We have stayed in Pentahotels across 3 countries and we are always very happy with our choice of booking.
I booked a room for 4 Persons, and i was surprised the room have 2 bedrooms in it - which is cool! The receptionist is friendly and accomodating. What i like the most is the Hotel is located near to train station - 5 Minutes walk.
The Ibis Budget Hotel is located in the city of Leipzig, excellent location. The room was quiet and clean, good shower and also good WiFi. The breakfast was very good with a vast choice. Good value for money.
There was some mistake on Booking, but our host Franz solved all problems despite the late night. Finally, we lived in the very center of Leipzig, in the ancient and beautyful house. Thanks a lot, Franz!
Very comfortable bed 🛌, big room and bathroom. TV and a desk with chair.
The hotel is a few steps from everything you need to see in Leipzig. A lot of restaurants. bars 🍸 and great stores.
We booked the hotel only for one night as we were visiting a town nearby Leipzig. I wished we had stayed for more not only because of Leipzig but also because of the great quality of the hotel.
Small but comfortable rooms right next to the airport. Considering location, rooms were still very quiet. Last minute booking caused no issues (I literally arrived within an hour of booking).
Design and Very nice Staff...it is so friendly Team ...it better then most of 3Star Hotel in Leipzig...It is so greet that the guest think it is a Hotel...
