The location by the lake is beautiful and I'm quite sure I'll spend some more days there soon. The town "Himmelpfort" is fun because the post office is the "official" address of Germany's Santa; the main attraction are the four or five lakes around town. Nearby Furstenberg is easy to reach (3 miles or so) and has some good and cheap grocery stores. All in all a positive experience.

We had a really nice room, in fact we were given a suite which was a nice surprise. The bedroom was fairly small (but adequate) but the living room quite big. The bathroom was a good size too. Location is nice and we could have borrowed a canoe the following morning or left our luggage a little longer. There is safe storage for bikes, and cafes (handy for breakfast) and restaurants were nearby.
