We were there to visit friends but we had a couple of days where we went into the city of Hamburg and enjoyed all the sites the weather wasn’t very kind to us while we were there but we enjoyed it hamburg itself I found to be a little expensive just to have coffee and cake in a restaurant cost me €22 which I thought was a little expensive But I would return again

Bad. It is rather expensive city. Old appearance was seriously damaged after the WWII, so the city doesn't look like holistic structure. The weather is very changeable.
Good. There are a lot of interesting (thematic) playgrounds. Haven city is actively developing district and if you fond of contemporary architecture you should see it. The ducks on the inner alster are very cheeky, so it was a lot of fun to feed them. The old metro on elevated tracks is quite interesting.

A city full of emotional associations - history, the war, its remarkable aesthetic recovery, wonderful Hamburgians with a sense of humour, the Elbe Philharmonie to make the whole world of music proud, bravo for the courage to see it through. Great restaurants. The water, the views,the feeling of the great world outside. And memories of the Beatles!
The hotel was very clean, restaurant staff were exceptional, and although we found it quite expensive, it wasn't by Hamburg standards. It is a great location for the airport, and the autobahn is really close if you are driving, but it a good 50 min combined bus/metro at the moment (due to track works) to get into the centre of Hamburg (but we didn't mind :-)). There are a lot of facilities close-by and we would stay here again!
Good location. very close to central train station. It is definitely cheap and we should consider this while rating the facility. Accommodation is expensive in Hamburg and this hotel is meeting minimum requirements. Clean room, private bathroom, WC, breakfast, nice location.
There is no a firm bathroom. only a private/separate place for toilette. Shower and sink is in the room. But can't complain, still does the work.
Location was great, it's right around the corner from the Hauptbahnhof, very convenient. The breakfasts were really lovely, fresh coffee and juices, breads, jams, eggs, nicely laid on time. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, letting me keep my suitcase there for a few hours after I checked out, but before I left Hamburg. I'd definitely go back, such a good value and comfortable place.
The location was just fine. There's a big supermarket in front of the hotel and it's close to the subway station. The room is big and comfortable. What also made the difference to me is the snack that you can buy 24/7. Even though Hamburg is a big city the restaurants kitchen close early. So it was good to arrive late at the hotel and be able to buy sandwiches and soft drinks.
Check-in was very smooth. Friendly staff. The room was a bit old-fashioned, but clean and tidy. Inclusion of a basic kitchen was a very nice touch. Decent internet speeds for work.
The hotel is located in a quiet business district which is a good 20 minute journey from the heart of Hamburg. 10 minute walk to the nearest grocer and the nearest train station.
A great place to stay at while exploring Hamburg. The room was pretty spacious, really comfortable and VERY clean. The hotel is not located super close to the city centre, but bus and S/U-bahn stations are nearby, so it is not a problem at all. The staff was also really friendly. I earnestly recommend it.
In a good location with walking distance to main sites in Hamburg. Friendly staff and bonus Privat parking ( paid 15 euros a day) considering location that was good. Nice room and clean. Compare to other hotels the price was worth it. Especially compared to the cheaper hotels near by.
I was looking for a simple yet comfy place to stay during a weekend spent exploring the city of Hamburg. The hotel suited all my needs : clean, comfy, cheap, with a nice breakfast and close to everything ! The staff was also very nice and I was offered a free drink upon arrival.
Nicely presented hotel in an excellent location for tourists. Right by the Station and Inner Alster with the Europa Passage shopping centre just up the road and the Hamburg Art gallery just over the street. Kettle and fridge in the room. Good shower. Nice warm bathrobe.

From centre of Hamburg a bit away, but you can take some transport to get there.
Location was easy access to Hamburg city centre, bus stop very close and buy ticket on bus for 2.50 euro. Parking out the back of hotel easy but limited so pot luck if you get one. We were in an apartment in the building next door which was huge.
Nothing particular in general. I am a regular customer at Leonardo, but this one is not as good as the other Leonardo hotels in Germany, or even the other one in Hamburg Nord. It's maybe okay as a stop in transit, as you can relax in sauna.
The Chromecast function of the TV. That was actually the best thing ever. All hotels should offer this function in their TV's. Specially in Germany, the dubbing sort of ruins the whole experience of watching a movie.
The hotel b&b chain GENERALLY has always been my go to when in Germany, I trust the cleanliness & helpfulness of staff (Paderborn one is AMAZING) but was VERY DISAPPOINTED by this specific one in Hamburg City Ost!!
Good and decent in the South of Hamburg. Close to Bergedorf and easy to get the train to Hamburg City Centre. Very nice breakfast, rooms were good. A good Hotel that has everything you need.
