Excellent starting point to visit the southern area of the Black Forest and if you are also planning a visit to Europa Park. The village itself is very idyllic and worth spending at least some hours to walk around its many trails.
A beautiful old German style hotel, with plenty of Black Forest charm and character. Not your chain hotel, and one that gave true German atmosphere.
Had an excellent evening meal there, and room and breakfast were certainly up to the standard we expected. There was a nice little balcony to sit out on which was very welcome on the hot evening weather we experienced.
Our 2 nght stay was excellent value.
As they were pre-informed that I am Coeliac, they provided Gluten-Free bread rolls for breakfast.

it was in a small town and very easy to find. All the staff were both friendly and very helpful. Free onsite parking was very welcome. After a long day of driving, it was very nice to have a restaurant attached to the hotel. As a non-smoker in Europe, I greatly appreciated the sign at the entrance to the restaurant’s outdoor seating area stating that smoking was prohibited during mealtime.
I loved everything about this place. The hotel is surrounded with vineyards and beautiful landscapes. The hotel is perfect, very authentic but luxurious. The rooms are big and the shower is very good. I also liked the balcony with the view on the water. The staff is lovely and makes your stay personal. And the food..amazing! Compliments to the chef, who also takes allergies into account.

Very quiet and pleasant hotel.
We ordered 2 rooms and both of them were clean and spacious.
The breakfast was very tasty and the dinner was above all the expectation.
Dinner was prepared by a very talented Chef and it was worth to be in the hotel for this meal.
The stuff was with high customer service awareness.
A lovely little hotel in the Glottertal wine valley. The staff is nice, very service-minded and friendly. We got a great big room with jacuzzi, great privacy and lovely view to the valley and the mountains. The restaurant was also lovely with greatly made local food and breakfast was excellent 😊
It is a beautiful rural setting in a quaint village close to a snowy peak and also close to the city of Freiburg. The owners are very friendly and helpful and although they spoke almost-no English, we managed to find a way to communicate. The flat had beautiful views and was comfortable.
Excellent hotel. Super friendly staff. Very accommodating. Made us feel very welcome. Good parking for motorbikes. Beautiful location and lots of interesting places to explore nearby. The food was superb. Stayed 4 nights would happily have stayed longer.
