We traveled by car as a group of five adults, and one very large dog. Our main goal was to go hiking and enjoy the evenings with good food and drinks. The hotel exceeded our expectations. We are a loud group. The hotel staff not only made us feel welcome, but it was very obvious that they cared about how comfortable we were. Our rooms were clean and tidy, the pup was provided with an occasional treat and we were thrilled with delicious meals and hospitable atmosphere. Hot coffee waited on the breakfast table for us each morning. Tip toll!

It’s a great place to hike through while exploring the different trails in the region. The village is beautiful and tranquil.
This hotel is located directly in the Bode Gorge of the Harz Mountains of Saxony-Anhalt in Thale, Altenbrak. It offers free Wi-Fi, a regional breakfast buffet and classically decorated rooms.
I made a reservation, received a booking confirmation and nobody was at the hotel. no contact with the owner, no telephone number, it is difficult to recover the money paid.
