I was there to visit my daughter but Fellbach is a good option if you're visiting Stuttgart. The U1 street car will take you straight into the center of Stuttgart in about 25 minutes, or take the bus and S-bahn in slightly less time.
The host has provided detailed, prompt and useful information. The apartment was indeed newly renovated. The location is very near to the highway junction, making it easy to access to Stuttgart. Actually, it is in a generally nice neighborhood. The apartment has a side which is facing the residential part of Fellbach, and the other is looking at a number of businesses clustered in this area (an information which was available to me at the outset with a google maps search).
Breakfast is very good and staff are very friendly.
Reception, bar and house keeping are all shining beacons of service and friendliness.

I went to Stuttgart for the wasen. It is well connected to the wasen, you need to take a bus and a train and in 35 minutes you are there. The rooms were comfortable
