Breakfast was typical and most adequate. My room was spacious enough and as expected. Enough that 2 motorcyclists had room to move around and hang wet gear out of the way. I do think quite a few hotels in Europe struggle with the concept of two separate beds as opposed to two separated beds for two unrelated adult males. . The bar and restaurant was very pleasant and a good meal and a few beers were consumed. The lift made things easy with the motorcycling gear. The staff were pleasant and attentive. I would stay again.

Political centre and favourite residence of Charlemagne, Aachen is located in Germany’s North Rhine-Westphalia region. A spa town since Ancient Roman times, it has some of the hottest springs in Europe. Its Old Town keeps important architectonic jewels, such as the Cathedral ordered by Charlemagne in 786, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
With a unique mix of styles, the Cathedral is the final resting place for Charlemagne’s remains, and served as coronation church for 30 German kings and 12 queens. Guest houses and hotels in Aachen’s historic centre are a romantic way of enjoying the city.
The RWTH University is one of the country’s ‘Universities of Excellence’, part of the technologic profile of a city that is regarded as one of the most innovative in Germany. In fact, a large number of Aachen hotels have congress facilities.
It is located 65 km from Cologne and 40 km from Maastricht/Aachen Airport. Connections to major European capitals are available from the central railway station, while several hotels nearby will help you to avoid the last-minute rush.
Whether you want to relax in the baths or come to town for a lecture, don’t miss the Aachen accommodation deals available on Booking.com!

Everyone has their own views, but this hotel is charging too much for what is available. Nothing free except coffee and kettle in the room. Aachen is a tiny old town with a vast city built around it.nice restaurants and cafes, no dearer than here. No English speaking tours available. Which is a shame, nothing offered by the hotel. Take a good comfy boots/ trainers, cobbled streets. I wouldn't visit again. It was very easy to drive to the hotel but really difficult to get out of aachen, no street signs or directions. Sat nav or Google maps didn't work until we got to the motorway.

I liked Aachen but would have liked to know that Charlemagnes throne was upstairs in the cathedral. Also, that the spa had a bathing suit option.
The park on the hill was nice but there were no public bathrooms. This made for an uncomfortable time for me.

Only stayed one night, hotel was clean and tidy with everything you need. Only slight complaints (if you could call them complaints) were small car park so later check ins struggled to park and the restaurant had a small limited menu (the food we had was really good). As we were only there one night we didn't pay the extra 3.50euro to use the pool.

Aachen is right at the northern end of Germany before you cross over into the Netherlands and struggles to attract visitors who are mainly just passing through. That doesn’t make it a bad place but I wouldn’t go there specially.

Aachen has a lot of important and interesting history to offer. But this is not the only reason to visit the city as it is one of the few places left in what could be called the old Germany, a country of tradition, character and values. It was refreshing to find that this still exists in possibly Europe's strongest country.

Aachen is older than the Hungarian statehood itself.
Aachen is older than the Hungarian statehood itself. A wondrous city just next to the German-Dutch-Belgian border tripoint. I am Hungarian, and it was great to see how much it is connected to Hungary. We are about a thousand kilometres from my hometown, yet it was great to see Saint Stephen I in the garden of the cathedral, the statue of St. Ladislaus inside the Hungarian chapel. That was founded by Louis I (Louis the Great) of Hungary in the 1370s. My favourite place was the cathedral. I have also been to the tripoint itself.
Good location not far from station or the city centre. Although the hotel is on a main road, the sound-proofing is excellent so barely noticed the traffic. The room itself was small but actually slightly bigger than expected. Several cafes nearby for breakfast. The staff exist and were very helpful; they are there till late which is very handy if Deutsche Bahn is running to its normal awful standard. The hotel doesn't charge to leave baggage in a locked room for a few hours after checking out.
There was a sofa bed in my room. Perfect for sharing. Breakfast Buffet had a good selection for vegan. The location was near to the plaza and the Church, all in walking distance. There was parking available, if you are staying for days pick up a car park ticket from reception 15 Euros a day. Elevator from carpark to Hotel reception for wheelchair.
There were rooms for wheelchair access. Bathroom was very well designed.
Very surprised with the standards for the price, not upmarket however reception was great, rooms although basic were comfortable and clean with separate area in room for toilet and shower. Breakfast was good as well. Stayed in another chains budget hotel brand later on our trip, cost over double what we paid here and the standards were appalling in comparison. Great for a one night stopover on a touring holiday.
1. Location -- The location of the property is really great! Very close to the city centre, not far from the train station, and also it is very close to the bushof, from where you can get buses to places all over Aachen.
2. The free WiFi provided by the hotel is really fast, although I am not sure about the security aspects -- of course, that's true with almost all free WiFi networks nowadays!
The hotel has a superb location In the heart of medieval Aachen, and is near nice restaurants and excellent museums. If traveling by car, it's imperative that one make arangements with hotel in advance to secure an underground parking space, accessible from the rear of the hotel. The hotel and its parking are hard to find, but once located and you're checked-in, it's a comfortable stay.
This is a clean, modern, well run hotel within easy walking distance of the Aachen Cathedral and other tourist sites. I liked it all.
And here's a shout out to the desk clerk, who was very helpful and blessed with a great sense of humor. I won't put her name on the internet but she knows who she is.
The Hotel more than meets its 3* rating. In a good position about a 10 minute walk to the City centre, there is secure onsite parking which is important to me.
Rooms adequate for a short stay and a good breakfast offered.
Enjoyed relaxing the bar in the evening where snacks e.g. pizza available.
The price is very good and for that you get a small, but clean and comfortabke room and free parking. The hotel is not in the city centre, but there is are several bus stops nearby that get you to the main train station in 12 minutes.
Really comfortable rooms, very quiet despite being so close to the city centre. Hotel very tastefully decorated, with warm colours and comfortable furniture. Nice breakfast buffet, with nice bread and a range healthy options.
Very close to the city centre, Innside hotel has everything you need to have for your stay in Aachen. Nice and clean room, great breakfast, friendly staff. We had an excellent time there!
Very good breakfast with lots of choices, including waffles. Comfortable bed, and very responsive staff.
Great to be able to park at the hotel, and walk to the city centre.
Great location and good value for money in comparison to the general prices in Aachen. We were happy with our stay and the hotel was clean and comfortable.
