Wonderfull city with a great atmosphere and beautiful architecture. Not crowded to much - you can enjoy it in peace. A lot of nice restaurants and bars. Great for 1 or 2 night stay. Nice alternative for Prague etc. especially if you don't like crowds.

Very beautiful old town, lots of fountains, beautiful architecture, few tourists, peace and tranquility. Of course, there are three iconic places: St. Wenceslas Cathedral, Upper and Lower Squares. But just to walk along the local streets, sit in a cafe with a view of the beautiful buildings - this city, the "Second Prague", is definitely worth a visit, you will definitely not regret it. Perhaps this is one of the most beautiful cities in the Czech Republic.

I loved the fact that I had a white christmas😊. It was snowing! The town is beautiful and historic. We visited the Holy Trinity Colomn, the Astronomical Clock, the Arcidiecézni Muzeum and St Wenceslas Cathedral which was all a walking distance from each other and from the hotel.

Lovely city centre with numerous historic buildings and sites. The many different kinds of cobblestones require good footware and do not always provide a safe footing, especially after rain. Be sure to visit as many of the different bakeries and confectioneries as you can and walk off the calories in the surrounding woods and moderate mountains. Also, you will be surprised how many varieties of pickled vegetables can make a tasty add-on any traditional Czech food. As everywhere in Czechia, local beers are manifold and definitely worth a try or five.

Olomouc is my favorite place in the entire world! I lived there for a year and now travel back and forth for work. It is safe, clean and has wonderful public transportation. There are countless restaurants and cafes. Most everyone is friendly. There are bikes to rent, parks to enjoy, nice shopping and historical attractions. I cannot wait to go back! They have great theater and a wonderful train station on an international line. It's just a two hour, enjoyable ride from Prague. Watching football at the stadium is always fun too! Olomouc is the best!
Do not stay at Silvie Properties. They do a "bait and switch" scam! You pay for an upgrade and do not receive the quality you pay for, for example, we needed two bedrooms and a washing machine and our apartment rental had neither. Booking.com was very disappointing to deal with refunding us a measly 50EURO for our frustration and inconvenience. They could not get her to respond to them either!
This is a small family hotel in a villa district, within walking distance from the historical city center. Breakfast is served in a light-colored room with a teras enabling outside eating while overlooking a nice garden. The choice of meals is standard, and reasonable, with some items, like fresh salty and sweet pastries, or a variety of fruits missing. My room was small, quiet, and cozy, with a garden view and a sizeable bathroom.
Beautiful lush garden around the hotel looked very charming. The folk decor of the place was very appealing.The room was spacious enough, the matrasses on the bed were very good quality, the bedding smelled fresh, clean and were new. This is a big plus and we slept very well. The breakfast was big and tasty. Scrambled eggs and coffee were prepared fresh for us.
Simple comfort with an excellent location right next to the cathedral. The owner was friendly and accommodating and did everything to make our stay enjoyable. Easy access to the hotel. Great location within walking distance of all the main sights. Very good breakfast served although the seating was a bit cramped.
This is outstanding! Historical Villa built in Vienna Secession style in 1905 right in the historical centrum of Olomouc, national cultural heritage. The Golden room hosts 5 great works from Gustav Klimt, who was visiting the villa, incl. The Kiss and The Tree of Life. If you like Klimt, you must come here!
The beautiful facilities in our room, definitely felt like a villa in Italy, and we were able to enjoy the pool twice. Customer service was excellent and very friendly as well- above and beyond for our comfort. We really enjoyed getting to know the amazing historic beautiful town of Olomouc.
