Hotel was a 12 minute walk from the main railway station, passing through the main shopping area of Kolin. Room was tidy and reasonably large. I didn't have breakfast. The price was lower than in Prague .

Located in a quiet area of Kolín, Na 15 Kopách is a 15-minute walk from the St. Bartholomeus Church and Old Town. The on-site restaurant serves traditional Czech cuisine.
This is not really a tourist town. Only staying there because of Czech family nearby. However, it has great railway hub, eg Prague in 40 mins and I can recommend the Spa town of Podebrady. Travel is exceptionally cheap - 75% discount for Seniors and kids so really easy to get around even if you pay full rate and you don't need to be a Czech national nor have a discount card.
In my opinion Kolin is punching above it's weight!

Lovely little place not far from Prague!
Lovely little place not far from Prague! Perfect for high season like Christmas/New Years time - you can get a reasonably priced accomodation there and escape the toursitic crowds; yet it only takes 35 min by train to go to Prague. Would also work great as a main destination, two days would be perfectly enough to explore the place.
Quite a few interesting art noveau buildings; impressive cathedral; baroque church with an ancient cemetery nearby (was closed when I visited the place, unfortunately); great and not at all expensive restaurants in the main square; beautiful view of the Laba river; pretty city park... Quiet and peaceful place!
Because I had earlier, stupidly, left my suitcase on a train heading for the far east of Poland at Breclav, and subsequently having to travel to Bohumin just before the Polish border(phew), I was going to be arriving late(around 2030 instead of 1730). The pleasant young lady on reception awaited my arrival, thankfully.
Breakfast cooked to order, sausage ,bacon and eggs. Very good.
Hotel is situated around 10 minutes walk from Kolin station, and about 5 minutes from the lovely Kolin town centre.
The person who I spoke to on the phone to check-in spoke perfect English, was kind and helpful when I was confused and didn't know what to do, and as was the person who delivered my keys, althought he could not speak English, he was very helpful, and got his point across to me without words. The room wasn't bad at all, although it was no 5 star hotel, you certainly get what you pay for, and I'm not complaining at all at the price of my stay. Excellent value for money in a good location.
A very friendly reception. The receptionist was lovely, and helpful. Breakfast was fine. Scrambled eggs first day, fried eggs second day, no time third day, dashing off for a train.
Location is perfect, 10 to 15 minutes from Kolin station. When I arrived it was snowing, adding to the charm of this lovely town. The big church is just at the top of the road where the hotel is situated. The room was fine.
Standard hotel room with all necessary to stay for several nights. We had a big comfortable bed, tv, fridge and a table to work. Our room was not big, but that was enough for one night. The hotel is small and located not far from the centre. Note that there is no elevator in the hotel.
Hotel was a 12 minute walk from the main railway station, passing through the main shopping area of Kolin. Room was tidy and reasonably large. I didn't have breakfast. The price was lower than in Prague .
the hotel surprised me with the central area with the bar and restaurant area and the rooms on surrounding galleries. The room looked recently redecorated. The breakfast was rich and good
Pension was 5 mins walk from Kolin zast railway station and close to the main town. No staff after 8pm so keys left in a easy to access box. Room was clean and tidy. I would use again.
