Hotel Vajamar is a wonderful place to stay! The people, the breakfast, the always available coffee and the super nice pool. Everyone is so friendly. I ended up losing my wallet and Daniel the front desk agent helped me throughout the terrible situation..The next morning the taxi driver found it under the seat and returned it on his own. The people of Valledupar are amazing! Thank you, I'll be visiting Hotel Vajamar again! Walter

We had a lot of fun visiting this town, the weather was...
We had a lot of fun visiting this town, the weather was great, not too hot. We loved the places we visited like the parks with the statues of the singers of Vallenato. Going to towns nearby like La Junta, and Patillal is a must. Food also was very good. We found a lot of nice restaurants to eat international food as local food at a good price.

It's a bit of a gritty city. Not a tourist destination. The city could use some TLC and friendly tourist information. The big deal is the annual Vallenato Legend Festival.

Valledupar is a great hotel located close to everything on...
Valledupar is a great hotel located close to everything on this end of town. Not the side with airport and hotel zone. It is a couple of blocks from the beach and next to the river that has an island in it. Just a walk over the bridge will take you into the romantic zone where clubs and other activities are at. Only negative was the included breakfast. You can do much better with the short walk to the beach area where there are many spots to choose from.

Easy city to get around in.
Easy city to get around in. Most everything we needed was close to the hotel. Found a couple of good restaurants, but do not remember the names. One was Italian, the other was a steak restaurant. Taxis are inexpensive and can get you wherever you need to go.
Mariana (The Host) was excellent and very attentive to everything! She met me at the door with the keys and gave me a tour of the apartment. She provided expert-level insights about the city, what to do, best practices for staying safe, how to get around, and literally any questions you have about the city. She goes above and beyond to help you feel like a local and settle in. Seriously, if you are staying in Valledupar, stay here.

The room had a good size, the shower was spacious, there was an ironing table and an iron. There was good pressure of water in the shower. The hotel is modern, trendy and the breakfast had a reasonable selection although mostly local choices, nothing international.
This hotel is up to date , very modern, and well appointed. It’s just a great hotel with an excellent restaurant and a really nice room with a great bed. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Especially Jhonatan at the reception counter
The hotel is nice and everything was really good. I enjoyed the breakfast, room and court yard. The receptionist was really friendly and we were teaching each other english and spainish. Very nice, thank you. Walter
