Staff was super friendly, addressed me by name each time I came in. They offered some coffee when I checked in.
Wifi works, TV in the room, good A/C (needed in this hot climate) and a small balcony overlooking the street.
The cucuta town area isn't really special but I was visiting a friend and for that purpose, the hotel was good.

But the hotel is better than the surrounding hotels, my next time I hope there will be a staff member able to speak and understand English, my Spanish is OK, not perfect but don’t have a problem, just to test your standards in hiring employees.
A very nice hotel in the city center. The staff is great and helpful. If you ask they also can help to organise some tours. The breakfast was delicious.
Our room was totally clean and they cleaned it daily.
Wifi was good and strong. There is no elevator but the staff helped us carrying our luggage.
The safe gated parking with security for motorcycles and cars just across the entrence of the hotel was included. The staff there was very nice and took great care of our bikes.

The location was good, which is not easy to accomplish in Cúcuta...my wife lives in Puerto Santander so we frequently stay in Cúcuta. Everything was wonderful, as long as you know what to expect, since Cúcuta doesn't anything remotely close to a 5 star resort, or any type of resort, haha, but this hotel was clean, comfortable, friendly, with a some old world romantic ambiance...hot water, a/c in the room, clean pool, clean facilities.
The hotel is aging, so in need of some upkeep, but it also had a tremendous amount of traditional charm. Rooms weren't huge, but adequate, with shower, tv, wifi, fridge, a/c. Staff was OUTSTANDING and extremely helpful, courteous, and accommodating. Food was good, and the restaurant is a covered, open air patio beside the pool.
The staff was amazing, respectful, and always looking out for you. The hotel is clean, the breakfast was amazing, and the servers were always taking care you. The rooms had ac and clean. Definitely would stay here another time and a good location.

When i travel or visit ,i always stay at the hotel bolivar with my family ,because it has a good family environment better for the kids to run around and the pool is great , i love it !! :D
