The ecolodge was lovely; kind staff, the rooms big an spacious, comfortable bed, cute dog and cats, different breakfast every morning. Definitely do the full-day excursion to Melcocho river with Daniel organised through the lodge, that was a highlight.
The first day, we hiked up to the lodge from Cocorna for about an hour. The days after we took (cheap) rides up and down the hill (it's then a 10 minute walk to the lodge). We enjoy being active and the motorcycle-taxi's were exciting to take. The extra effort of the location is worth the views and lovely lodge. We wish we could have stayed longer!

The view from the apartment is properly the best I saw my whole time in Cocorna, incredible location right by the main square, well equipped tienda downstairs so you don't have to walk far to get veg etc to cook in the kitchen, showers cold but with a beautiful view I miss my mornings there

The location was the best for a quick stay in Guatape. Amazing breakfast served at the restaurant next door. Strong shower and very comfy bed.
Very nice ladies at the reception and overall it was a nice experience.

Cocornà is a little town nested in the mountains.
Cocornà is a little town nested in the mountains. You’ll find several comfortable hotels in town or more nature-oriented places to stay (like Ecofinca Fuente Alegre), uphill, at some distance from the crowd. The town itself offers everything you may be willing to buy, but the real value of the place is the nature and the numerous hiking trails leading to the forest. You’ll be meeting very amicable people but also crossing horse riding farmers or kids going to town. Colourful birds are hiding in the trees and just fly away when you approach, butterflies are gigantic, the water flows everywhere and makes the nature alive around you.
