Yingkou has a few attractions on the map like the fort, some parks, public squares, also there is a temple inside a park which is a pleasant place to spend a couple of hours. and 'water paradise' but if you go there you will find those places large but empty. water paradise was instead a water treatment plant. Some of the parks are quite nice and if you are lucky you may find some activity there like I encountered a live band, I was also lucky because I stumbled across a nice western restaurant called Milano I think, and a decent nightclub open late called Coco Club, but that won't be for everyone. I didn't expect much excitement from this small city and neither should you.
