The Hosts had great english and provided a free upgraded room for my stay with a view. The cook could make a variety of Chinese or western dishes. Breakfast was included in the stay. There are beautiful walking trails around the property. Really a great find!

This was the perfect place to adventure around the Karst Peaks and Yangshuo. Plenty of restaurants nearby, but we could have just enjoyed our room the whole time if we wanted - so relaxing and will situated, incredible view, and wonderful staff. The dumbwaiter is an especially charming touch!

I liked the tranquility of the resort and even when crowded, you can still find peaceful spots on the property. I liked how most of the staff went our their way to make our stay comfortable and try to fulfill all our wishes. My son enjoyed the ponds and breakfast with peacocks! It was truly a blissful sight. I'd like to thank Ian for bringing our in room dining--super charming guy! I'd like to thank the chef (maybe Martin is his name) he always was helpful and most of all Rhianna for the nice hospitality! !

Wonderful “homestyle” inn. Loved the big, spacious room and wood furniture. Loved the little restaurant down the street, where we had delicious -cooked-to-order soup at dinner and traditional Chinese breakfast with fried dough sticks dipped in rice milk.

Nirvana Organic Farm exceeded our expectations! It’s located slightly outside of the Xingping town so really quiet with a great rooftop for star gazing! The rooms are also very clean and we loved the organic garden with many vegetables that we had there for dinner! The hostesses were also so friendly and we went sunrise trekking with them! We will be back for sure!

Amazing scenery. Definitely get out on a bike or electric scooter and go along the footpath next to the river.
The evening light show is amazing and definitely worth going to, but it is expensive and, be warned, nearly all the spectators (a few thousand of them) will be on their phones and talking very loudly throughout the whole performance.
West Street at night is worth seeing once. It is slightly tacky, but in a pretty way.
Silver cave is very pretty and you get a free headset in English (presumably other languages too). I can't believe that Reed Flute caves in Guilin are better, yet they are a lot more expensive.

Nice "little city" and a good base to see Xingping, the Silver Cave, Ruyi Peak and of course the cormorants (in Xingping). I'd love to have done Xianggong Hill. Most tourists do one of the two shows but I watched bits of the video and thought, not for me due to our limited time. I think 2 dinners in West Street might have added a bonus. Oh, try to get your Didi working.

I think Yangshou shines the best when you are trying off the beaten path things: climbing, caveing, trying local food (not just Kung Pao chicken, come on) and renting a scooter.
I'm genuinely impressed by the environment, people and abundance of culture of Yangshuo.
I tried a lot of local delicacies including oil tea 油茶,snail noodles 螺蛳粉 and beer fish. Definitely something you won't be able to try anywhere else. I liked first two, not the last one :)
I loved exploring surroundings via scooter, it is such a nice thing. And you have a chance to enjoy superb infrastructure of China. You won't believe me if I tell you that Yangshuo has highways with both motor- and bike- lanes. Simply amazing.
I recommend trying outdoor climbing and even caveing. There are many great spots (ask your hotel host, they should be able to tell you).
Come and enjoy.

For me, I went to Yangshuo for a relaxing getaway and that's just what I got. I don't know when the last time I have been this relaxed. I have friends who go there for rock-climbing and go a few times per year. The city is not very big so you don't need a lot of time going from place to place. I would advise to stay somewhere outside the city, like, within 5-6 kilometers and just rent a scooter. Actually, riding the scooter helped me get familiar with the city a lot better. And it's a form of meditation in and of itself, offering a bit of concentration as I got some sun on my face and cool wind in my hair.

Yangshuo is one of the prettiest parts of China in our opinion. The beauty of the Karst mountains is stunning and never bored us. The diversity of the mountains is a real treat for the eye. There are plenty of activities around like caving, climbing Moon hill, bamboo rafting the yulong river, exploring the environment on a rental scooter (¥30,- a day) or even helicopter and hot air balloon rides! Don't miss out on the local beer fish, a dish famous for a reason! Dine at Yangshuo Mountain retreat (the Brew) for the best tranquil dinner ever! Have lunch at 'Moon Hill restaurant' before or after climbing the mountain. The restaurant is located right next to the entry of the hill. Amazing view while eating local food. Take a few hours to visit the cable car, glass bridge and view platform of Ruyi park, lovely as well.

Yangshuo is located in the midst of a beautiful and tropical karst Mountain landscape and there are plenty of attractions ranging from caves to cable cars and tea plantations around, but the town itself is highly commercialised and most businesses cater to domestic package tourists.
Very new, very nice hotel and great room. Staff was very kind and helpful. Location is easy, fun, short ferry across Li River. Views are heavenly. Xingping, 20 RMB scenic look out is a short walk from Ancient Town street and you can try the long trek up to Mural Mountain. Bring water, I got to the ferry crossing up river from Xingping, but can't confirm seeing 9 horses. An adventure and the views were unreal. Very hot in July 2023 and my USA bank card did not work in 3 atms I found in Xingping so bring plenty of RMB.
The hotel is located in stunning area. The views of the river valley, the mountains and the sunrises were awesome.
The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Nobody spoke English, but despite that the communication was very good.
Xianggong Mountain is a very short walk away and provides a fantastic view of the river valley. Xingping Town is a must see and the hotel provided free shuttle to and from the river ferry. The river is only a few hundred metres wide and so the ferry trip lasts just a few minutes.
The staff is amazing, friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel is beautiful, the beds confortable and rooms have both A/C and ceiling fan. Many food options available, and two bottles of water every day in the room. Bike included too!
Note that the hotel is not in Yangshuo West Street with means a bit more Didi/private car expenses, especially since this is a mountain area. However I came to Yangshuo for the nature so I was happy with this choice not to be in the city!
We spent a delightful couple of days at the Zen Garden Hotel. The hotel is set in an idyllic part of Yangshuo, with stunning views over the local countryside and river. It is a lovely spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of Chinese city life. All the staff were amazing and truly wanted to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The food was delicious, mainly Chinese with locally sourced ingredients but the chef will cook some western food too if you ask them.
Lilly was a great host! If you are looking to climb in Yangshuo this is the place to stay. We were able to rent climbing gear and a scooter from her. There are some hangboards to warm up before going to the crag and a massage gun. She also has the Yangshuo guide and can recommend different crags depending on conditions and grades. There were other climbers in the hostel and we made great friends and ate hotpot all together made by ourselves.
The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful and you immediately feel as though you are at home. The location is beautiful and quiet and still close enough to Yangshuo town to visit. Free use of bicycles. The food at the hotel is really brilliant, and offers some very well cooked local dishes. The rice noodles are great for breakfast and the beer fish was lovely.
The hotel was great. The stuff and room wete exceptional. Shelly was very polite and helpful, she helped us find a way to get to Xingping town easier than any website will tell you. The views from the hotel were astonishing and breathtaking. The location was a bit far from all the activities in the city, on the other side of the river, but nothing DiDi can handle.
Friendliest hotel staff I have ever experienced. When there was a problem with the room on the last night, they gave us a free room. Excellent location outside the busy and noisy city of Yangshuo, ideal spot to explore Yulong River and the villages in either direction. You can rent an e-scooter/bike from the property for a very good price.
One of the most beautiful hotels in yangshuo.
Everything was more than fine and we really enjoyed sleeping in this hotel. Also, they have arranged for us a tour (cable car and silver cave)
They tried as much as possible to comfort us I mean the hotel staff
The staff gave us a tote bag as a gift before leaving and that made us happy
The property is so beautiful, next to the river. Views are stunning! Staff are extremely nice, speak very good English, they help you organize whatever you need. Food is excellent. Hands down one of the best and nicest places I’ve stayed in China. It exceeded my expectations by far!
Clean, nicely decorated with style, homely feel, great owners, very hospitable, tried their best to make me feel at home. Kate gave advices to where to go depending on what I like or want to do…even helped me to order food delivery because I do not have China’s mobile number.
Everyone there was so kind and helpful and welcoming. They helped me book excursions. The hotel is cozy and has a great view when you sit in their restaurant for dinner ! The food is very yummy! The ladies who work there are all so kind and welcoming !
- location in a quite and peaceful place with hills view was just amazing
- very friendly staff that is ready to help you with everything - from practicing Chinese to showing how to drive the scooter
- scooters are available for rent in the hotel
The hotel restaurant served good food both western and Chinese. The service was delightful and food very affordable. It was so convenient to have access to good food and drinks on site.
Nice people running the hotel. They helped me with a broken backpack with a sewing job. Could not be more greatful
The location is perfect and the place is very clean.
The location is great. Lots of activities for kids and fun for all ages. The food at the hotel was fabulous. I highly recommend having a barbecue night on the lawn.
Clean room, near west street, useful travel advice, kind and helpful staff, great stay and warm room in this winter time, amazing experience in Yangshuo.
