The staff were really friendly and helpful. Explained the area, what places to visit, how to get tickets and picked me up and dropped me off at the station. A beautiful boutique hotel and I had a great simple room. They had gone out of their way to provide just about everything you need The location is ideal, a very short walk to the old town. Amazing place to stay. The location is excellent. This is a beautiful traditional Chinese hotel. The staff was very friendly and attentive, specially Alice, ensuring our comfort all the time. Upon our arrival we had a welcome gift. The continental breakfast was good. The hotel also offers you transfer service from the train station. Nice experience.

Everything about it was amazing. First of all, location is absolutly perfect, right in the center of the old town, right next to the crossing of the two main steets. And despite that, we were well isolated from the noise in the evening. The room was very cosy, located at the back of a traditional courtyard. It was spotless and looked great. We even received a lovely little carpackage with local specialities. And last but not least, the personnel was extremely kind and accomodating. Alice gave us all the tips and information on how best to visit Pingyao and helped us with reservations and ticket purchasing, etc…

The hotel staff is very considerate, friendly and love to help at anytime, they response very fast and helped to arrange cars to pick us up at the station and take us to the temples. The Harmony Hotel has a prime location , a side street from West Street with everything close by . Even so it is a quiet old courtyard hotel , romantic and peaceful . Upon arrival food was prepared for us . And breakfasts are à la carte so you get as much as you want and exactly what you want . The rooms are spacious , the beds hard and you can sit outside your room in the yard . The owners and their son are amazingly helpful and speak English fluently . The lady of the house - should I say the Empress ? - arranged tickets for “ Another glance at Pingyao “ and drivers to Zhangbi castle the Wang Compound . Highly recommended .

Great location, very authentic guesthouse in the main street. Silent enough at night. Great air con and overall a very convenient stay. We had an extra large bed that was very comfortable. We loved the breakfast and it was good value for the money we paid. We found out that the Didi App didn't work to get there and taxis leave you outside the city walls, in the South West door, for 20-25 Euro ( we agreed on the taximeter). It was ok for us, but sharing here so you are aware of the 15 minutes walk from where they drop you off.
