Great view from our 6th floor (perhaps view blocked on most lower floors as lots of construction around). Small but beautiful and, at the time of writing, still relatively authentic area of rice terraces. Had time to see all in 2.5 hours in the evening, allowing us too transfer to another area the next morning. Great helpful service and delicious food - we tried the same dish the next day in a highly rated restaurant (4.7 A-Map) and the hinge cooked version was better!!

The location is really handy to visit several of the rice terraces. The food was excellent. The room was very comfortable with Greta views and the whole building is traditionally styled and reminded me of staying in a Chalet in the Alps.
But most of all Jason was tremendously helpful from start to finish. He arranged my transfer to and from the hotel via the shuttle going to a lot of trouble to get it fixed up. I don’t think I’ve come across someone at a hotel as helpful as Jason!

This was a beautiful guest house in a great location in the old village. Excellent spot to stay to fully explore around. There was some amazing hiking that you can do from the village around the rice terraces.
The room was comfy and clean.
Great vegetarian food!
Everyone was so helpful -The guesthouse organised a driver for us from Guilin train station to the village, and were also on hand to answer any questions and advice. It was an excellent stay

This is truly a gem. Nice, comfortable, clean. A stunning view. It is not difficult to find, after the embroidery hall,, - looks like an elenguated wooden Pavillion on the left hand side, turn left over the bridge and when you walk a little bit up the hill, there you are. The Hotel offered a pick up from the central parking lot. Thank you. Since it was low season I got an upgrade to an higher level. Air-conditioning and TV. The Lady chef knows her kitchen., decent coffee, water and hot water available, ice cold beer reasonable price from across little shop. Dinner with famous bamboo rice option.
Nice English speaking Ladies and if not use your translator. I would come anytime again.

I had a fantastic stay at La Vie Inn! The rooms are simple, but everything is clean and up to date. The staff was outstanding. They speak English and were chatting a lot with me. They helped me with organizing hikes and worried if I would come home later than I announced. Also the view from the hotel is beautiful. There is a lot of Hotels in the area, but this one feels very cozy and more rural compared to some of the newer big hotels.
Beautiful, underrated, I should have stayed one more night.
Beautiful, underrated, I should have stayed one more night. It was very easy to get around and the entire village at Ping'an has English and Chinese signage all on farming/hiking trails. I can't believe how empty the village is and part of me is concerned that not enough tourists are visiting even though I loved the serenity of it. Many stores/hotels were empty or closed, perhaps due to COVID-19.

We loved the Jinkeng terraces which you can view from Tiantou Zhai Village. They were superb and the walks to get there and back were very pleasant not only for the scenery but for the local life as well. It was very interesting to observe the rice farmers at work and also meet some of the local Yao people and try some traditional dishes such as bamboo rice. Even though we visited after the harvest, they were quite a sight to behold and I can only imagine how beautiful they must be at their fullest in summer or autumn at harvest time. We were there for two nights, but one full day and we thought that was enough, though you could stay a second day if you wanted to visit the terraces by Ping'an Village. The kids loved it though I would not recommend it to families with very young kids as there is quite a bit of climbing involved, sometimes following uneven steps and narrow passageways at a considerable height.
It is based a couple minutes (5min tops) by foot out of the old town of PingAn town, which did not bother us at all though because we came with heavy luggage and so we were able to drive up to the hotel with the car and still having the perfect hiking distance up to the view points.
The rooms are really generously large and comfortable with a nice view from the balcony.
The home cooked dinner was delicious and the staff overall was very thoughtful and accommodating.
I loved the location of the hotel. The views are amazing and the style of the room fits perfectly with the environment. However, what I liked the most was the staff. They were super helpful in supporting us to get to the hotel, arranging transport at very late hours and waiting for us. They made us a really great breakfast and provided umbrellas as it was a bit rainy that day.
Thank you so much for the great experience.
The owner, May, is incredibly friendly, speaks English very well and cooks wonderfully! The hotel is so clean, the room was so big and very comfortable! May and her team recommended us how to do a trekking and how to visit the surroundings. In addition Pig' an is lovely destination for knowing Login Rice Terrace.
A very good location with a wonderful view from room’s balcony. Hotel’s manager Jason is definitely highly helpful, very efficient and fluent in English, which is really relaxing. Many thanks Jason !
A special place, family owned boutique hotel jn the center of the village. Amazing design, super good dinner and breakfast and amazing view of the rice terraces!
