I appreciated the personal touch by those who were at the front desk. Each person was hospitable and helpful. After a 22 hour travel time from the U.S. it was a delight to have a comfortable room - with a clean bathroom and shower. The hotel is situated near the downtown area - so it was easy to walk to town and take in some of the sights. The final hill up to the hotel is a 'pull' -- but it's worth it. The breakfast was delicious and the table setting was excellent. The ability to eat on the balcony made it a special time.

the city is a good base or starting point to explore the region. The city itself is unremarkable in my view but is close to a lot of amazing places: Peulla, Petrohue, Cochamo, Chiloe island, Puerto Varas, Vicente Perez national park, Puerto Varas, Puerto Octay...
The city center can be unsafe at night. I recommend move only with day light or ask for a taxi in your hotel.

The best place to stay in that area is Puerto Varas. All the excursions will pick you up there. Also, get on a transfer taxi ( shared mini- bus) from and to Puerto Varas - just outside the Puerto Montt airport. Will drop and pick you at your hotel. Also, you can get on a local bus in Puerto Varas by yourself to visit the Petrohue Waterfalls and then get back on the same bus to go to Lake Todos os Santos for a half hour navigation. It is fun to do what locals do. In Puero Varas I recommend Druma restaurant. Lively, locals and soft sound track. Also, they have gluten free food.

Puerto Montt is a good opportunity to see a mid-size Chilean city unspoiled and unvarnished by tourism. However, if you are not into a gritty city full of real locals don’t brother. We had a fantastic dinner at Club Aleman.

This place is full of possibilities (trips etc.) Problem is,that everything is completely booked +there are no cars for rental. So it's very complicated to do anything (even to get into the restaurant you have to wait a que for quite a long time), everywhere is checking of everything (masks+ temperature+ vaccination) and it's time consuming.

Puerto Montt has a nice beach area and you can get day tours from there; however, I would recommend staying in Puerto Varas instead. It's a more charming town set up better for tourists. You can get the same day tours from there. It's about a 25 minute bus ride from Puerto Montt. We enjoyed eating above the bus station and Hotel Ibis that has a food court and overlooks the harbor.
The best day tour was Volcano Osorno including the waterfall Pueyhuehue.
The breakfast was fine. Fresh fruit, yogurt, musli, bread or toast plus freshly boiled eggs and coffee or tea.
The location is good. Up on a hill outside the town centre. However, there is a staircase close to the hotel which takes you right down to the centre. It has 114 steps, so maybe not for everyone. We found it very useful! Plus the street it ends on, Rancagua, had the 2 restaurants we liked the best. El Fogon del Leñador for lunch or evening meals and a nice cafe, El Bosque.
This is a hotel with old world charm, just a bit past it's prime. It reminds me a bit of Fawlty Towers.
The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. My wife was sick for part of our stay, when I needed to be away, and they took great care of her.
The view of the harbour from our room was lovely. The location could not be more convenient. And the breakfast was excellent, as were dinners in the dining room.
Most of the staff were very nice and warm. Breakfast was ok as a Buffet; it was varied but there were not many options in each category.
Everywhere you could look at in the hotel was very clean, spotless I would say.

Great hostel in Puerto Montt! The hosts were very kind and made sure to take the time to show the whole accommodation. Additionally, they were very helpful with arranging excursions. The hostel is about 20 minutes away from the city center of Puerto Montt, which is walkable. The neighborhood is pretty quiet, which I liked. And the room itself was also excellent!
we received an upgrade to a suite and this was very big and comfortable, with a fantastic view. Beds were great, bathroom OK. We had a very good dinner in the restaurant on the top floor of the hotel, which has an even better view. Overall, a good experience. Surprising given the dreary place that is Puerto Montt these days.
I liked everything, it was really clean, well located, well equipped with all you might need, good communication with both señora Paula and señora Doris. La señora Doris was really helpful and kind.
If I travel again to Puerto Montt I will definitely stay here again!
Facility to go to Puerto Montt city center as well as the costanera road. Easy access to Puerto Varas, supermarket and minimarkets. Calm and beautiful neighbourhood with amazing views. House owners were always helpful in our request.
Convenient location for our requirements. Overnight stay and reasonably close to the airport without morning traffic. Nacio was entertaining at check in and gave us a few city tips..
The location is superber for a shopping spree in Puerto Montt. The rooms are ok, but the restaurant on the 10th floor is ver good and the same must be said for the breakfast.
This property was adorable. A tiny house on the water south of Puerto Montt. Our hostess was great. We reserved late; she met us very quickly and was most helpful!
