They upgraded is to a better room. It was very clean and comfortable. Good breakfast. Right in the centre of old town but no street noise as good double glazing.

A lovely surprise indeed. The castle and the restaurant was a pleasant surprise but we couldn't enjoy as we were staying for the night. We will hopefully have the chance to stay overnight and enjoy the restaurant and the wine testing.

It's a charming place on its own， with lots of good restaurants and small town charms. We had the best borscht at this restaurant Schafli, and a great time visiting Sammlung Oskar Reinhart Gallery where there were many Cezanne, Renoir, Van Gogh and other masterpieces to appreciate.

Fantastic city break with access to nature, culture and...
Fantastic city break with access to nature, culture and local wares. Bring or rent a bicycle to make the most of the surroundings too! 4 days was almost too short. Do not miss the Fotomuseum, the cycling alongside the many green ways, the delicious ice cream parlour Pura Vida and the many bars and cafés throughout the city. Bring a swimsuit to enjoy the local custom of dipping in the public fountains.

Winterthur is a 25 min train ride outside of Zurich. We stayed here as the hotel was affordable for a group of 5, and we wanted to see some of Zurich’s countryside! The town has a myriad of shopping choices, and if you are not into shopping, it is lovely to walk through the Old Town and enjoy the quaint old town charm!
I really enjoyed the breakfast, there was a good range of bread, cheese, fruit, cereal and other breakfast items. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very new. The hotel is in a perfect spot in Winterthur, close to the train and close to the old city. At first we weren't sure if we would get to the hotel before the reception closed because of our flight, so the staff just emailed an easy access lockbox code so we could get in. We eventually made it on time anyway!
The hotel is located in an old, nice building in the old town of Winterthur. Our room had a view of a beautiful, very quiet courtyard. The room was small but comfortable, with a cosy balcony. Everything in Winterthur is within walking distance from the hotel. Staff was superfriendly.
As a very surprising plus: the hotel also hosts an arthouse cinema and all guests get tickets for free. We ended up watching _Phantom of the open_ to kill time during a thunderstorm.
It has a lounge and music venue right downstairs. Secret entrance for hotel guests. Hotel decor includes groovy photos of its touring musicians’ performances. Central location for business at ZHAW. Reasonably priced. Comfy bedding. Room had adjustable heating radiator - was very useful during cold wet weather. Hot water plumbed to the room and a sink and mirror.
The staff were very kind and helpful. The room was very clean and was always being cleaned in time. The breakfast was good but there is room for improvement. There were at times noises from the street due to cars passing and people, but all in all really good. I will book again the same hotel for my next trip.
Great air-conditioned hotel, easily reached from the station. Winterthur itself is upbeat and diverse, with few of the downers of a typical city. Shopping for essentials in the town centre was a pleasure, with shop staff friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.
We loved our friendly front desk agent! The front desk girl went beyond her duties and was so understanding in accommodating us and facilitating a comfortable stay with the kids! Very clean and modern rooms. Convenient location if you stay North of Zurich
Room was huge and comfy, nicely decorated. Staff was polite and helpful, and breakfast while not very varied, is good. Winterthur is 4 train stops away from Zurich, but the hotel room is so much bigger and better than those at the same price point.
Location of the property is very good. Just opposite the winterthur station. 10 euros and next stop from zurich airport by train. Breakfast was good. Rooms are spacious with all the amenities.
Everything was excellent. If you have a car you will enjoy the huge and safe parking. The staff was very kind and cooperative. If I will be to this place I will absolutely choose this hotel.
The price was reasonable but...
There is a bar underneath the hotel rooms but...The reception is at the bar BUT the bar was already closed around 12 midnight on a Monday night. Funny logic

perfect location in the middle of Winterthur. Very urban location with good food and very friendly staff. I was there during Albanifest and it was the perfect stay to manage my project.
Easy to check in, the room was superb in size, cleanliness and also the hotel was so easy to reach from the train station and straight into the beautiful old town.
Firstly, the hotel was walking distance from the train station and it was right in the center of the walking street. Moreover, the room was spick and span.
