I was given a free upgrade. Lovely room and friendly staff.
The location in Thalwil was perfect for us as it was within walking distance of relatives we were visiting. The hotel was modern, with stylish, generous sized rooms, extremely clean and with good amenities and situated right next to beautiful Lake Zurich with Thalwil's main railway station right across the street.
The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful and housekeeping prompt and inconspicuous.
Can't comment on breakfast as we didn't eat there.
Everything was more than perfect at Alex Lakefront, it was one of the best hotels that I have ever been, the environment was so lovely and clean, my room had a super balcony with a lake view, the breakfast was excellent, they serve different types of eggs by special menu and all other things were served as a buffet, the hotel staff were so kind and welcoming, they were very helpful and in overall it was my best staycation ever. The room is spacious and comfortable, we had the room with AC which is plus, I like the shutter on the windows for soundproofing since the train just in-front of the hotel, the bathroom is big and gorgeous, the rooftop restaurant is amazing too, Finally a big hi to the guy who welcomes us I forgot his name, but he was so friendly.
Perfect spot for us visiting family in Thalwil! Comfortable and “Swiss-clean”. Right next to the train, where you can get anywhere in the country, but rooms completely soundproof so heard nothing. As long as our kids live in Thalwil this will be our home base…can’t wait to come back.
The hotel has a very nice atmosphere with beautiful interior and views. We enjoyed our stay especially our mornings with a walk on the lake and delicious breakfast. The hotel has nicely located seating areas inside and outside. highly recommended if you want a relaxing stay in Zurich.
The hotel is in the most relaxing area near the lake. It’s to beautiful to woke up and you see the lake while still in bed. The balcony is amazing I could set there the whole day. Walking around the hotel and going into the city and streets that go up the mountains are great.
